I just received this. The lid barely sits in the mug and is not secure (loose). Is it supposed to be snug? debating replace or return altogether.

It's not like a throw it down the hallway and not spill a drop type. If you turn it over, you'll be spilling. I have personally never dropped a drink in my life. I like it more, because the ceramic tastes like nothing, so it just tastes like coffee. Stainless steel tends to start to get a funk, I think. This is also dishwasher safe, which is nice. I mean, just don't think of like a sippy cup that is foolproof. It's definitely not.

Is this microwave safe with sleeve left on?

I think so, I run it through the dishwasher and the water gets pretty hot and I don't ever take off the sleeve. I can't see why not. I don't think it says on the bottom of the glass about the microwave. I haven't tried this one yet but my Ello's with the handle I have put them in the microwave and the handle gets hot but the plastic on the bottom of the glass is fine.

Super pleased with this

The heft, the size, are both great. The silicone feels nice, the lid is one of the nicest lids (just a little small on the mouth-opening for me, but it's minor). It looks great, and survives modern appliances which is a great feature.

Really secure - lid was fantastic. The ceramic meant no horrible metal taste which was the idea behind purchasing. Really easy to clean, as the lid isn’t too complex. Size wise, just right for my car holder so really pleased!
