I didn't want to spend $40 dollars and so I bought this. I sometimes have to press a little harder and it doesn't have the little voice recognition button my original remote did. There is a way to use voice but I haven't figured it out yet. It's not a button it's a combo of buttons and I did it only once accidentally. All the other buttons are in the same place.

When the Infra-red died on my OEM remote, I had no way to access the “smart” features of my Sony Bravia TV. I found an app on t.he Apple store that worked, but it interjected ads every three or so clicks. Removing the ads would cost $6.99. I wasn’t crazy about using my phone as a TV remote, so I turned to Amazon to show me the other possibilities. For less than $7, I found this one. The buttons are EXACTLY laid out like the OEM remote. As some other reviewers have stated, this remote is lightweight and has a “cheap” feel to it - especially when compared to the OEM version. However, I could buy seven of these for the price of an OEM replacement…. Once I popped some fresh batteries into this remote, it worked perfectly! I can control my TV without my phone and without irritating ads. Hallelujah!I haven’t had this remote long enough to comment on its longevity. Only time will tell if this was a good long-term investment.

Our other remote (that came with the TV) was just acting bonkers. So, we bought this one. It worked perfectly right out of the box. The only complaint I have is that the. buttons are really stiff. Very difficult to press. Also, I don't THINK it has voice recognition (we tried it, but nothing happened.....user error is always a possibility), but we don't really use that anyway. Overall, we're very happy with this remote replacement!

I bought my Sony TV as a returned model and it never had a remote and I could not adjust any of the settings. This remote works perfectly.

Bought this remote as an extra for my Sony XBR-65x900E. The center buttons are hard to operate and the distance is limited. The specs for the remote stated good up to 10 meters but I did notice others stated 10 feet. I missed the return window but I would not buy this again.

Works sometimes. The volume is hit and miss. Will turn up when you want to turn down. Will get me by until it breaks and I can get a better one

Affordable and does the job. Don’t miss my old OEM remote that took forever to load one simple clock.

The circular dial is extremely hard to press and it doesn’t work unless you’re within 5 feet and standing dead center in front of the TV. Does it work? Sure if you are willing to press — I mean push hard with your thumb repeatedly. But hey if it’s cheap I guess that’s a trade off. As for me, I still have faith that I’ll find my original TV remote soon.
