I love it on my wagon.
I love it on my foldable wagon. Definitely helps me when I have to load everything in my Blazer. I don't have to worry about fishing guides getting ruined. My dad loved it so much he wants me to order him one. We used a piece of plywood for the rod holders to be secure on the wagon. My brother got jealous and made his own with PVC pipes. It doesn't look as good but it works. If you like short cuts and the idea of not having to build your own rod holders this is the product for you. My OCD would have me stuck on this type of project for awhile. So I'm honestly glad I spent a little money to be a little lazy for once.

Great initial impression
I just got the five rod holder and installed it without any horrific problems as some reviews cited. There were no instructions, but it was not a profound puzzle. You have six shorter screws that you install on the interior rod holders. The four longer screws will be used on the outside two rod holders. I have a fiberglass center console so I did not expect it to be an easy drill job. I used a drill bit to create an initial channel for the outside screws. After that, they screwed into place without incident. This replaced a three rod holder of similar design that came with my boat that finally started to die after 13 years of service. I am initially pleased with this replacement since I rarely had enough room for all my rods between the old one on this side and the three held on the other side. Should this one stand up to the test of some time I will probably replace the other side with this as well in another few years or less time even. One additional piece of advice for those not used to trailering. Lay your rods down as some reels will have lures come loose from all the motion causing a mess and low lying trees can tear your rods out of place. Should you have the misfortune to get caught in a thunderstorm they should be put on the floor of the boat as well. Additionally, you should be aware of how high they are when going under bridges or low lying trees. I figured much of this out the hard way!

It's a little cheap
One of the screw heads stripped during install and because of the design, there is zero way to get the screw back out without damaging the plastic.I ended up purchasing a different heavier duty model that comes with the correct size drill bit in the kit to predrill the holes. I threw this one away.

Good vertical rod storage (read my review of installation)
Good place to store rods while out on the water.I read all the reviews about this rod holder, and to be completely honest........ people are idiots, you DO NOT have to drill 10 holes in your boat, and YES all of the correct hardware is included. Yes there are 10 holes in the rod holder, and NO there are no instructions included, but just a little bit of common sense and my 10 year old can install this. 4 long screws, and 6 short screws are included, 10 holes come predrilled, so those all add up correct?? Yes!!, the 2 outside tubes get the 4 long screws(2 long screws per tube), and the 3 inner tubes get the 6 short screws(again 2 screws per tube). The inner tubes are just screwed to the two cross braces only, and the two outer tubes are the only ones actually screwed into the boat. Itβs that simple folks.

Rod holder
Product is good quality. My console has a curve to it, so the rod holder had to flex a little to mount flush. The supplied screws didnβt do the job I needed them to though. I pilot drilled the holes and the head of the first screw I tried to use, twisted right off.So instead I used drywall screws with washers and now you can probably yank the console out by the rod holder.Iβd recommend.

It keeps fishing rods safe from other rods.
My husband didn't put it on the boat. He has many rods or different kinds of rods. He put them up on boards so now he can see and find the one he wants that a certain time. We have bought enough for his 14 rods!

Almost perfect.
These are *almost* the perfect fishing rod holder. I like the design, good boat clearance, good quality screws, great knife and lure holding points. But for just a tiny design change the heads of the mounting screws could have been burried below, or flush, with the tube inner surface, so they don't wear on the rods when under way. Such a tiny design change would make them perfect.Ok, they're very bright white and a little translucent but that's only visual. A Little creamier white would colour match most boats better but that's a tiny niggles.Overall very happy and could probably have got away with the 4 rod holder rather than 5, but then that's an excuse to buy more rods right? :-)

Quality plastic, sub-par hardware.
Great storage solution for rods, quality plastic, subpar hardware. When installing a head twisted off the screw. Recommend installing with your own hardware for the mounting screws.

Perfect for my old bass boat!
Man these were perfect for my old bass boat. All the rods are off the ground and organized while driving. Tied a bungee cord under the reels for extra support. So perfect and easy installation and they look great! Just what i needed.
