F 420-800mm F8.3 Telephoto Zoom Lens(MF) + T-Mount for Nikon D850/D750/D500/D7500/D610/D5600/D7200/D7000/D3500/D3400/D3300/D3200/D3100/D5/D6 - Manual Focus DSLR Cameras Lens(F-Mount)

As pics show, these all shot at full 800mm. No tripod, all hand shots. It is going to add some bulk, but if you have good methods of holding telephoto lenses you know how to do it. I just got this today, and the quality is really nice for the 80 or so bucks spent. This resolves nicely on my D750 though it shows DX, and crops the image. It didn't state DX lens in the order details or description, but I assumed it would be. Full frame tele lenses just don't come with $80-100 price tags. Build quality is great too... again for the price. Focus ring is tight, and I like that. Most kit lenses DX lenses are on the loose focus ring side of things. Too easy to move. The lens cap is the weakest point. Spring was stuck. I can get another if needed. Not a big deal. This basically makes your camera look like a small telescope. The included T ring for the lens is nicely made. No issues, all metal and has 3 small allen screws for extra security to the lens mount. Comes with lens caps, faux leather case. Some chromatic aberration is to be expected, but overall if your subject is center, it's not bad. The flag picture above with the cloud background was shot at the full 800mm. The problem I had in my camera was not being able to set the Aperture. It fixed at F22. Auto ISO did well enough for most shots. I bought this to photo rocket launches as well. Great lens, awesome price!!! Not good in low light though, so don't expect much there. Should work better on a tripod for moon, or even bright planets. Going to try getting Jupiter and it's bigger moons.

The lens itself was impressive. I wasn't expecting much as it was pretty inexpensive, but my initial pictures were pretty good! Yes, using a tripod is needed unless you're very lucky. Yes, manual focus is a hassle, but that's the way it was in the old days so, suck it up - LOL! It still was well worth the cost - until the metal on the tripod mounting ring broke after only trying it out about 4 times in 6 months. Now, I cannot reliably mount the lens at all and I'm not going to risk my camera, hoping it will just stay. Because of the cheap steel they used, it's pretty much useless now.

I was a little nervous about ordering this because other reviews were so questionable. But I love it! It is going to help me step up my photography. I'm still getting used to it, but it's fairly easy to learn and use. Make sure to remember to set your camera to Manual. I have a nikon d3400 and just add the adapter ring then click the lens onto my camera. I have absolutely figured out I can't use it without some sort of tripod or support. It does get heavy which leads to the blur. If you are thinking about buying this as a low cost lens, I recommend it. Give yourself some grace and enjoy the lens! Oh and that coyote photo is at least 300 yards away.

I am extremely pleased with this. For the price I was expecting something cheaply made, impossible to use. There was no way I could get good pictures, I thought. First off, it's very well constructed. Heavy, sturdy steel. The lenses seem crystal clear. It feels like a more expensive item. It's not some 3D printed, mass produced piece of crap. Definitely worth more than the price, as far as workmanship is concerned. Secondly, I was pleasantly surprised with the picture quality I got. Of course the first pictures I took were of the moon (like everyone else). You can actually see craters. The picture of the rabbit--that's from about 50 feet away, hand held, no tripod. You can see for yourself the color and the clarity. Now, this IS a manual lens. I'm using a Nikon D3200, very basic DSLR, set to MANUAL. After experimenting with different ISO's and shutter speeds, and some pictures that didn't turn out, I think I got the hang of it. For the moon picture I did have to mount it on a tripod and use the timer release to click the shot, to minimize blur. But you can get good pictures without a tripod for distances up to about 50 feet. Definitely worth the price. I wasn't quite ready to invest in a $3000-10,000 lens. This does what I need it to do.

You get what you pay for. It is an affordable alternative to name-brand lenses. The issue is, you have to be in manual mode to even use it, so you're constantly needing to adjust and readjust the lens to keep your subject clear. The output, once you look at the photos in post, shows soft, rounded edges and pixelation. So the lens really is just a piece of glass that doesn't entirely interface with your DSLR, resulting in less than top-quality photos. This lens shines best for night photography, capturing the moon or some distant wildlife. Again, you get what you pay for.

This is not a super high quality lens, but it does great for an amateur, like me. I am learning and as I learn I will go to something more expensive, but for now it does very well. I can zoom into the next mountain range and see with clarity. Was able to photograph a Gold Eagle who was about 150 feet above me and be able to clearly see him. This is a great lens for a beginner that has a desire to dabble into more extensive shots. I am not a mature enough photographer to speak for someone with more experience than I.

This does not work well. I've tried multiple times and can't get it to focus. Before you judge, I have experience with telephoto lenses and this one is pretty trash. I guess you get what you pay for.

For the price this is a great lens! I’ve added two photos, one (first one) is completely unedited, the second photo is enhanced. This photo was shot handheld and on a moving subject. For $80 I’d recommend it. It’s absolutely not the sharpest lens you’ll find. BUT if you want a telephoto lens for $80 this is definitely worth it. As a side note, this is a FULLY manual lens. This was taken on a Nikon d5200. Settings: shutter speed was 1/640s and iso of 500.

amazing! the build quality and image quality absolutely are worth the price, it doesn’t fully cover the entire fullframe though (slight black corners), but honestly, what do you expect at this price? it's even built in metal. worth every penny

I love this it took some time to get the settings being a beginner at using a manual lense it was a learning experience but once I got it I love it just have patience
