I'd been having GI issues (bloating, stomach cramps) for a few months prior to purchasing Vitamin Bounty and after multiple diet changes, I was beginning to get desparate. After searching the web I noticed a lot of articles touting the benefits of probiotics. So of course the next thing I searched for was "best probiotics" and among the five contenders was Vitamin Bounty. It was on the list because the third party site said it was both affordable and verified to have live cultures (which supposedly a lot of probiotic products don't actually have). After two days (only 1 pill a day) my bloating and cramping was gone. I'm guessing my gut flora was seriously out of balance, but this probiotic worked really quick to correct it. If you're having GI issues, it would definitely be a mistake not to give probiotics a try, and this one definitely did the job for me. It's worth noting that the pill is a little big, but it's probably just because it's packing so much of the good stuff in it. Solid A product in my experience.

I wanted to give the vitamins some time to work and see what the results were before I posted a review. Since birth I've had gastrointestinal issues starting with pyloric stenosis as a newborn and GERD later in my teens. After having to try several medications I'm on a double dose of the purple pill but it only manages my acid reflux and not the other issues I experience. Recently things have come to a head after suffering a partial obstruction last year and recently a random slowdown in digestion. I can honestly say that after suffering this for weeks with a particularly painful few nights I'm feeling so much better. In the past I've tried probiotics that had a let's just say violent reaction with my stomach. With this I'm not gassy or uncomfortable all day or thankfully afraid to leave a comfortable distance from the bathroom. I'm finding that foods that normally were a bit if a gamble for me I can now eat and even though it may not have been intended I'm slimmed a bit. I will most certainly continue using these as I haven't felt this good in a very long time. The pill is on the medium side but is pretty easy to swallow with a large swig of water and thankfully no nasty taste. If you have issues swallowing capsules you may experience a bit of discomfort due to its size but it's still manageable.

This probiotic seems to work well the capsule is on the large side but since you are only taking one not two or more as some require it is to be expected and it is still easy to swallow. I tried a probiotic shaped like a sphere it seemed to work well but it would get stuck in my throat a few times almost going down the wind pipe so could not take it as it was not worth the potential problems of choking or getting in the lungs somehow. This probiotic has been gentle and I have noticed the effects immediately after not taking any probiotics for a long time and eating chili twice in one week acid reflux occurred and would not calm down. What a lousy way to spend a week. I have no idea why it triggered such a strong reaction that just would not go away or calm down. After taking this for just a few days that stopped. Hope this review is helpful. 2019-11-07 Update I stopped taking this product for a while and did just fine until I got sick with the flue which totally disrupted my digestive system. I was suffering Acid re-flux like crazy and remembered what had been missing... these antibiotics. Ordered two bottles and am now 1/2 way through the second time to reorder. This stuff works have been better ever-since taking them and got rid of the cough that would not go away also.

Obviously when it comes to probiotics the science is all over the place as it relates to how much, which ones, how often, etc. Overall I have to say that Pro 25 Probiotic seems to be helping my gut. By no means have I done some scientific testing process or anything like that. However, I am an avid user of whey protein powders. Anyone that uses protein powders or eats significant amounts of proteins knows that the nitrogen that is expelled during the digestion process can cause some serious gas and bloating. I have found that after about 4 or 5 days on the product that my issues have significantly reduced. By no means am I saying this is some miracle pill, as they haven't completely gone away but they have indeed helped. As to the claims of an immunity booster, I really haven't been sick during this time to notice a difference. One thing to keep in mind though is that the first time or so when you take the pill on an empty stomach you may experience an upset stomach or pains that are just associated with you body having something new. Mine were just the first time I took it and lasted until I put food in my belly.

My husband and I both take this product. I did lots of research and read numerous reviews, and find this product to be one of the best. I do wish it came in a larger quantity though. I personally believe that your gut is the number one cause of any illness or disease. So, if your gut is healthy then so will you. We do not get good nutrients from our soil and food anymore, therefore it's very important to give your gut the best in probiotics. This helps with curing leaky gut, which left unchecked, allows toxins into your system. Close the leaks and you'll start feeling so much better. I honestly feel that was my problem. I had aches and pains, got colds, and just didn't feel my body was doing well. I began taking Pro-25 and within a week I could tell something was different. It makes you very regular, and overall feel so much better. I do not have headaches, body aches, and very seldom get sick with nothing more than a cold. I think that's due more to a seasonal allergy. We both really, really like this product and highly recommend.

This is an excellent probiotic! I noticed a difference after the first few days of taking Vitamin Bounty Pro-25. I tried a different probiotic last year (Garden of Life Raw Probiotic) and did not notice a difference at all. However, with Vitamin Bounty Pro-25 I could tell a difference in my gut health almost immediately. I take one Pro-25 daily as soon as I wake up. First, I drink 8-12 oz of water and then take one Pro-25 on an empty stomach with more water. I will definitely reorder this product from Vitamin Bounty. My gut is very happy to have found a probiotic that works!

I have used probiotics on and off throughout the years and never really noticed a major difference in the way I felt. After taking any antibiotic I would buy a bottle and finish it, but never continued. After trying Vitamin Bounty I felt such a difference - yes to being regular, but also just felt lighter/less bloated in my stomach and colon. It has made a huge difference in my digestive system. I have MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and have had some improvements from several of my MS symptoms thanks to the Pro-25 probiotics. They have helped reduce my MS related pain. They have helped give me more energy which has helped with my MS fatigue. Another great thing about this probiotic is that they use a delayed release capsule to make sure that more cultures get to were they are needed! Another plus is that these are freeze dried probiotic strains so they don’t have to be refrigerated! I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a great probiotic!
