Can I dry scoop metamucil?

The idea in consuming Metamucil is to have thick liquid (due to fiber) in your intestine wrap around your waste to allow better passage. Consuming it dry will not work. The dry powder in your intestine will suck up all moisture around so it will make constipation worse. So, the short answer is NO. Do not consume Metamucil as dry powder.

why does this turn into gel not liquid after add into my water?
