Lindsay & Mary are both fantastic writers in Sport Fiction
Lindsay & Mary are both fantastic writers in Sport Fiction.. I could NOT put my device down for anything. This story was wonderful and drew me in right from the cover since I am a HUGE fan of baseball. the summary of the story is Girl meets Baseball player and she becomes the “lucky charm” of the baseball player and it turns out that they live in the same apartment complex and They go to book talks & signings and there is this fantastic chemistry between them and there is also amazing twists and turns to the book as well but you’ll have to read it to find out

Great series
I picked up this first book of the Ninth Inning series at the recommendation of a friend. I ended up reading all six of the current books over the weekend.Felix and Abby meet at a book reading and he immediately likes her. She isn't so sure why, because he's a hot baseball player, but when he decides she is his lucky charm and must come to his games and help him win, she indulges him.My only complaint about this series is there are a lot of typos. Considering it was written by multiple authors, I wouldn't expect so many mistakes, but overall it is a great series.

Bottom of the 9th
There are times as a reader when you want a simple story , one where the plot and characterizations are not too complicated .This was almost too simple . I've enjoyed Lindsey Paige's writing in the past , mostly because of her subtlety . This was a very weak effort . I found the story hard to get into and the writing style very sophomoric . This does not bode well for the rest of the series . I'm sorry I didn't like it more .

Great Story
The story line was definitely there. With baseball being my favorite sport you can never go wrong with that. Definitely gonna read the next book. I do hope it has a continuation of this one. Would like to have known how the couple ended up other than in love.

Can Abby handle Felix's curveball?
Felix Hernandez is a professional baseball player, a pitcher. He eats, breaths and sleeps baseball - nothing else. He hasn't been able to hold onto a relationship because he constantly forgets things outside of baseball.Abigail Harris is a graduate student wanting to become a professor - just like her parents. Her parents were killed in a car accident where Abby was driving - that one event has shaped her life entirely.Abby and Felix both have a great support system. Abby with her two sisters and Felix with his parents and brothers. They both have a love of reading - and I completely agree with Abby on the signed books by the way. They live in the same apartment complex and Abby becomes Felix's "good luck charm". Their relationship takes off from there - with some hiccups along the way. What would you do in order to hold onto true love? How do you put someone's needs before your own? Can't wait for the rest of the books in this series.

Good read. I like baseball (Nationals). I like Felix and. Abigail. And this was not the usual story line. What Mary Smith writes is ALWAYS good.

Love it!
So we all know how much I love baseball. I mean I was an Astros fan when they were the Lastros :( I was totally looking forward to this series. I love the sport themed books that Lindsay Paige and Mary Smith do together. So far they have all been about hockey so I was interested to see how they pulled off the baseball books. I am pretty happy with it.Felix is a pitcher and by pitcher I mean an amazing pitcher. He finds his good luck charm and then makes sure that she is there at his games to keep his luck going. Baseball players to tend to be extremely superstitious so I like that they got this into the book. I like Felix and he was a pretty good character. I liked Abigail too. I liked that she was not falling all over herself for him when she found out he was a baseball player and the fact that she played along as his lucky charm. Both characters had some issues to deal with and there were times I wanted to strangle them both but they redeemed themselves.I am giving this book 4.3 stars out of 5.
