Will my feet peel immediately after using this mask? And will they hurt or burn when the skin is peeling?

The proprietary blend of ingredients in the Ultra Exfoliating Foot Mask is created to gently remove flakes and surface dry skin over a period of days, leaving you with softer and smoother skin. To achieve this, it contains alpha hydroxy acids which create the gentle exfoliation. However, this exfoliation will not happen immediately. Please wait for a few days to pass after treatment to allow for the removal of the rough outer layers of the skin. It is normal for the skin to continue to exfoliate for several additional days. Please do not use a callus remover or pick on calluses when they start to exfoliate.
 
We recommend that you use the product according to the directions on back of pack. The exfoliation process does not hurt. However, you are likely to experience a cooling/tingling sensation as the formula inside the mask contains ingredients like menthol, peppermint and other essential oils to relax and soothe the skin. Also, the formula is lotion-like and might result in coldness to your foot during use, which is the nature of many lotions.

Do they Expire?

By convention for cosmetic products, an expiration date is not used in labeling.  That is confined to OTC and monograph drug products.  However, Our Dr. Scholl's Ultra Exfoliating Foot Masks have a full 3 year shelf life if stored properly away from heat or extreme cold.

How might this affect the integrity of a tattoo if the sides/top of the foot has ink?

a tattoo should be deep enough in the skin to be unaffected by the peeling, like when a sunburn peels & leaves a tattoo unchanged, it's only dead surface skin peeling, or should be.. if you aren't sure, maybe test a tiny spot & wait several days to be sure it doesn't change.
