great quality, great price, really happy with this purchase
This is a really nice, quality sink at a great price. Even our countertop installers commented on how nice the sink was. The size is perfect for our kitchen. We used to have a 50/50 split bowl, and compared to that, this is a bit bigger. The 60/40 bowl is nice because we can fit large pots in the bigger portion of the sink, but even the smaller bowl is larger than our 50/50 bowl sizes. The MicroShield is a nice touch. I think it's easier to make it look clean, rather than having a normal plain stainless sink, which is what we used to have. The accessories that come with it are also a great addition. I highly recommend using the grates. Although they may not look as pretty as you want them to, they definitely help protect the sink. You can always remove them when you have guests or a dinner party, but they work well to protect the sink.It is sound-proof, and you can see when you get the sink that it has good protection underneath for that. I do wish the bowls were the same depth, but I didn't see a single 60/40 sink like this with bowls that were the same depth. I guess that just doesn't exist. Otherwise, really happy with this purchase. I also like the aesthetic of having one bowl go slightly deeper than the other. It adds a little more visual appeal. It comes with a template that gives you two options on how you want it to look. Unlike some sinks, the template matches well.

Buy this sink!
We upgraded the kitchen sink that came with our house with this model. We were able to find a piece of scrap granite that was a perfect match for our counters and had it cut to fit this sink. Love the appearance, the solid feel, and soundproofing; the antimicrobial feature is a plus, too!Kraus does a great job of packaging and cushioning the sink for shipping. It arrived in perfect condition.

High quality stainless steel dual kitchen basins. Who said Amazon has everything, but the kitchen sink, they have that too!
I haven't installed this yet, it may be a while for that, so my review here is based on the quality I can see outside of a fully installed sink. There shouldn't be too many limitations to that kind of review, since there are really no moving parts, or special interfaces. The first thing I can tell is this is quality stainless, thick, heavy, and maybe not as prone to pop when I pour off a large pot of boiling water to strain the pasta. My current sink expands and makes a pop sound almost every time I do this. My current sink is a bit noisy if I drop silverware in it, or turn on the water when it's empty. I bounced a golf ball in my current sink and then in this one, and the sound was like night and day. I used a golf ball because I wasn't sure I'd be able to tell just tossing in spoons and forks. It also didn't bounce as long which is a further measure of the damping effect. The sink comes with some nice accessories, a couple straining grids so the dishes and or pots don't sit on the bottom and can drain better. A drain collection basket in the larger one has a nice combo filter to keep large pieces of food from the drain. I assume the larger pipe here is the one you attach the disposal, but maybe they were making this to minimize risk if you didn't use one. However, with the rubber coating on the steel when you attach a disposal, I can see the noise not being as much. It also comes with a dish towel, probably won't last long, but if you keep it somewhere, you have a signature item to show off the sink for guests. This might be a minor flaw it might not depending on modern design, there are no holes for the faucets or the spigot, most older sinks have them, but it makes replacement a bit harder.Overall there are a large variety of sinks and uses, so you might want to pick the one you are most comfortable with. This needs and external dish drain so if you lack counter space you may want something with two large basins, not just the one. Some people prefer a very large single basin who do a lot of dishes and pair with one of those big dish sprayers. Again, this would not work for that, but Kraus does make other models, it's what they do, so get the one you like, the quality is there. Recommended if you like the style and have some counter space adjacent to the sink, probably better for a new installation, you'd need a pro if using as a replacement to fit this properly.

Looks great and works great!
I researched and researched before purchasing this new sink. My fabricator offered one of their own stainless steel sink and while it would have been at least a hundred dollars cheaper, I wanted something that I wanted and chose for myself. So after reading hundreds of reviews on different sinks, I eventually went with this one and I'm glad that I did. We went with the scratch resistant finish. If you're a parent, you'd understand why. So far so good. The install went great and I've been using the inserts to actually prevent scratching. The finish is amazing and it looks great. I went with a taller faucet to facilitate my big pots even though this sink is deep, but I'm one for having pots piled in the sink before loading them in the dishwasher. So far so staining, no rusting but I'll be sure to update if this ever happens. If you're like me and have tons of dishes, then this is great. I'm glad I went with the 60/40 instead of a 50/50 as well. The right smaller side, we installed a brand new garbage disposal under it as well and so far so good.I've uploaded a picture but not so sure that you can really see the finish on the inside. Looks really great with the Giallo Fiorito granite that we eventually chose.
