Great Hardware, but sorry OS
UPDATE: Blue Iris runs fine on this box. I have 12 cameras and the CPU% never exceeds 10% even with AI turned on. One bad thing that ruins everything is that there is no way to get it to turn back on after a power loss. I looked in BIOS, but there is nothing there. I have a UPS, but it only goes about an hour and today we had a power outage lasting 62 minutes. So I had to drive all the way back just to push the power button. BeeLink should be ashamed of themselves for that one. I have also installed GPT4ALL which is an offline chatGPT program. It works, but it is a bit slow. For GPT, the 16GB RAM is a bit small and 43GB would be better. ========== The box came today and I haven't fully tested it. What I have seen of it says that it is a fast box. No problem playing youtube videos at 1080P in full screen. The biggest flaw is that it comes with Windows 11. Upon starting the box for the first time, it stops during the setup and says to enter your Microsoft Account. I don't have one and if I did, I wouldn't give them the password. It no longer has a SKIP button so you can't easily bypass it. Fortunately I found out that you can pull the power cord, then network cord and then plug it back in. This time, it will squeal for you to give it your wifi password, but I refused. It finally let me in without signing my privacy over to Microsoft. Once there, windows update worked fine. I got the box to see if it would be fast enough to run Blue Iris software. I have not yet tested that. I will write back if that does not work. This will be a Blue Iris box and I wont have to mess with the OS on a regular basis. I would not want to use Win 11 for a desktop OS. The manufacturer allows people to upgrade to Win 10. If I had to use it as a desktop, I would do that or else install MX Linux.

Poor customer service and short PC life - UPDATED with fix
10/6/2025 - I am updating my review, not because Beelink support got any better, but because after a lot of effort, I found a fix to the issue. Most of the problems seem to be related to overheating. I now have 2 of the SEi12 PC's and both exhibited similar problems so I added this USB powered 120x120 "router" cooling fan with feet: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CW9H1381?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1. First, remove the bottom plate of the PC, then remove the entire panel with the small internal fan. This does mean you cannot add an SSD anymore, but that would just increase the heat issue anyway. The NVME, mobo and RAM will now be exposed to the airflow from the fan directly. Just sit the PC on top of fan, making sure the fan is blowing UP into the PC housing. They are almost the same size so this works great for me. It fixed both of my SEi12's and the fans are very quiet. Hope this helps anyone else who is having this same problem. I ordered a Beelink SEi12 through Amazon on December 29, 2022. Over a month ago the PC would no longer boot up. At first thinking the NVMe was defective, I bought a new one and installed it, however this was not the issue. I contacted Beelink support and they suggested it could either be the power supply or the motherboard. I ordered a new PS from them for $30 which took almost a month to arrive. This was not the issue either. Since the PC was out of warranty and I really can't afford to replace it right now I asked Beelink to sell me a similar unit at a discount but the best they would offer was a $10 discount which is more of an insult than a good business decision. I didn't expect this to last forever, but I do have other PC's that are over 10 years old and still working. The fact that this unit lasted only a couple of years is a big concern when money is tight. And when the company has so little regard for it's customers satisfaction made me feel that this review was necessary. BE WARY OF BEELINK before you buy one of their PC's.

Pretty Good With Some Quirks
I shopped around for cost-effective mini PCs for months before purchasing this Beelink mini. Many brands had copious amounts of poor reviews. Some brands have reputations of arriving pre-loaded with spyware! Beelink seems to have a pretty solid reputation. The computer is fast, efficient, and quiet for my needs (no gaming or graphic editing). But does have some quirks. The setup requests that you do not log into wifi until it is complete. I did this, but it resulted in a lot of re-work later to get it aligned to my Microsoft account, and get the login to be consistent with my other PCs (rather than local only password). Also, I had a *lot* of trouble getting some Windows Updates to run. Not sure if this was a Beelink issue or something else. But I’ve never had that much trouble before with cryptic messages on what the problem was. Resolving them was like a voodoo ceremony of 25 different approaches to try to get the update installed. Ultimately it did, but I have no idea with of those 25 workarounds actually worked. Lastly, the bluetooth radio sometimes works, and sometimes doesn’t. Often it fails to start when the computer boots. I have seen a lot of similar complaints across a number of Beelink models on their support site. I’m not using the bluetooth so it’s not a big deal at the moment, but tells me there are still some hardware and/or bios quirks that need to be attended to by Beelink moving forward. Overall, a great little computer for the money. Hopefully I’ve encountered all of the quirks that may be hidden out there.

Well made
Well made and quality components- both RAM and SSD are Micron. Unlike other models however, the memory slots are somewhat buried, so if you upgraded the memory or ssd on a prior model of computers from this company, doing so will be a lot harder on this one. The PCIe slot is a clever design and certainly adds versatility to such a small PC.

This computer came with an unactivated copy of Windows 11
This computer came with a copy of Windows 11 that was not activated. Grabbing the activation code from the motherboard, I used the activation key. However, in trying to use it I got an error that saying that this activation code had already been used. (This is really strange. They are trying to sell codes that already have been used??? Looking at the comments in their user forum, I learned that this is not the first time this has happened.) Therefore, I could do no OS updates. Instead it's telling me that I need to activate Windows. Contacting Bee-Link I got a new activation code rather promptly. It did activate Windows11 but I could not install any of the Windows updates. I kept getting 0x800f081f errors when attempting to do so. I ran every DISM and scanow/ command prompt I could find. But still, I could not update. So another email to Bee-Link about the Windows 11 update. At this point I am on day 2 of trying to get this computer to work. Their response was, "Please don`t update directly , It might cause bug from MS. You might need to reinstall it". This means. 'Since we blew it, you're going to have to do our job and download and install Windows 11 yourself'. Now I am on day 3 of trying to get this computer to work. I did the new installation and that solved the problem and the computer has been working fine ever since. My advice: If you don't know much about Windows or computers, you probably want to buy a computer elsewhere. Only purchase from Bee-Link if they have the best price and you're willing to jump through hoops to get it working. I give the company 2 stars as they did respond promptly. I would give the computer itself 4 stars.

Mal producto
Muy malo, la peor compra que he realizado, a los 3 meses falla y se calienta mucho, no hay soporte técnico local y te piden que lo envíes a China para la garantía.

Worked great until it didnt
I was impressed with this little PC when I first purchased it. I mainly bought it to run my Epson v700 scanner as my previous Beelink mini pc didn’t have enough memory to run the v700. First thing I did was added a second 1T hard drive and swapped out the 32gb of ram for 64gb. Loaded up Battle.net on it afterwards and found it played WoW and Diablo smoothly so I was happy. Until one day I booted it up and the Bluetooth had stopped working. I tried troubleshooting, repairing and eventually did a wipe and reinstall and still no Bluetooth. Luckily I still had another 4 days to do my return so back it went. Not sure if I got a dud as my previous Beelink worked smoothly for years.

10 out of 10. Does everything my $1,100 laptop does but faster.
I have been sitting behind a computer for 35+ years as a Marketing Manager using premium PC's and laptops upgraded every couple of years running the latest office and graphic software. At home I have a tower gaming PC that I use for gaming, banking, on-line purchasing and account management. With grandchildren now using that gaming PC I purchased this Beelink EQi12 with Intel 1220P to move our non-gaming accounts somewhere more secure after one of the kids authorized their own app purchase for their Amazon Fire tablet. This quiet little PC does everything my home gaming PC does except play hi-end games and is faster than my two year old $1,100 work laptop on the internet, using MS Office Suite and Photoshop. It's a 10 out of 10 so far after three months.
