Too Big
These bands would be great it they fit; they were just too big for a woman. Otherwise a nice band; I had to return them since I could not make them small enough.

Know what you're doing before using these, or any other BFR training straps!
I've had these for a while now but have only recently started using them regularly. The first few times I tried them, I did not do enough research on the technique and overtightened them & was using too much weight. This messed me up pretty good for a bit (which was entirely my own fault) and so I didn't bother with them anymore.I recently decided to give the straps another try though, but not before doing some research on how to use them properly. MY GOD, what a difference some knowledge makes. The pump you get using these straps correctly is unbelievable all while using much lighter weights. Actually my favorite thing to do with these is just flex... really makes things pop.My advice to you is this: error on the side of "a little loose" when you first start, then gradually get tighter until you find the sweet spot.My only reason for subtracting 1 star is because of the metal hooks. As others have mentioned, it can be very uncomfortable on the skin so I've been wearing sleeved shirts when using the straps. This seems to eliminate the problem, but it does still leave a mark (kind of like a hickie).

Clever Exercise Enhancement Tool!
I was intrigued by the Kaatsu-inspired Superpump! Training Strap offered on Amazon. I work out pretty regularly but I'm a guy in my mid-60's so I take it fairly slowly. The idea of lifting lighter weights with BFR (Blood Flow Resistance) but still getting the "pump" , as they call it, sounded great. I try to not over-strain my joints. So, I bit and ordered. The straps arrived very quickly and I'm pretty pleased with them so far. They are very easy to put on and (provided you don't over-tighten them) not uncomfortable at all. And there is no question but that I feel a hardening of muscle in my arms during workout. And, yes, they make barbell curls "harder". I've only had them a week or so but I definitely feel my arms in a different way after using them.I even wore them on a mountain hike last weekend and they did a number on my biceps as I trekked uphill using hiking poles. So, yeah, I like them.. And they are a novelty that is encouraging me to work out a little harder, and there's nothing bad about that. I will check back in here and add to my review as I see results from my workouts. But for a reasonably priced exercise enhancement tool, they are quite good.Oh, when I put them on, I raise my arm up and let the strap fall to the farthest point under my arm and then tighten. That makes for the best restriction and the best pump.

Perfect degree of elasticity enables easy setting of correct tension
I wanted this item mainly for use with elastic resistance training, instead of training via weight.Previously, I had fabricated for myself a few of my own designs, which utilized strips cut from a bicycle inner tube, velcro, rectangular steel rings, rubber cement, and flexible cement. The main problem with these tourniqets was that my flexible cement could not adequately bond the velcro's backing to the butyl rubber. However, by the time I finally gave up on my own designs ( after a number of workout sessions ) I gained an expert's insight of the requirements for an effective and reliable muscle training tourniquet…And this product really fits the bill ! The overall length ( including the rectangular ring ) that I received is 19". The entire length of the webbing is somewhat elastic, except for a segment confined at one end. This end is composed only of a 4" long x 1.5" wide strip of "loop" fastener. It is extraordinary, that unlike the common "hook" ( fuzzy ) fastener that we are familiar with ( such as found in the webbing of sport sandals ) the "hook" fastener of this item has noticable elasticity in tension. In fact, it has precisely the right degree of elasticity for the function of this tourniquet !The location on my arm ( close to arm pit ) where I wrap it has a circumference of 12". When tightened there it is 3" short of overlap. Thus, it should provide 100% adhesion of its "loop" material for circumferences as small as 9". Arms / legs smaller around than that will result in a flap of excess ( unfastened ) "loop" webbing when the tourniquet is fully tightened.I have found that the 4" of maximum adhesion length is more than adequate to hold it in place during MAXIMAL intensity training for either a biceps or a triceps workout, and I am a 170 lb ex-amateur wrestler still in good fitness. Using these tourniquets at least once per week, I hope they will last at least 6 months before either the velcro wears out, or the elasticity fades away...

Best looking and easily adjustable occlusion bands.
Straps are easy to adjust and tighten compared to just Velcro straps. Great design and a little fashionable too compared to plain straps. After you practice getting them in place, it won't take long to adjust. They run a tad small, but if they don't fit customer service is AWESOME and will replace. I'm very happy with my purchase and service. Consider these when looking for occlusion bands

I'm a believer
First off, I found these bands by accident. I was searching Amazon.com for a totally different item related to fitness. These bands were advertised as I scrolled down to customer reviews. Good job Amazon. I was curious and skeptical at the same time as I read the product description. How does blood flow restriction help me with my workouts? As I usually do, I did the research (googled & youtubed). On YouTube check out Tyrone Bell : Bloodflow Restriction TrainingThese bands were relatively inexpensive and have positive reviews so I decided to give them a try.I worked out biceps today, making sure I followed the 7 (tightness, from 1-10 scale) rule. Wow. Using only light weights, my curls quickly became difficult. Leave your ego at the door. My arms burned but I love the pump it gave me. I will definitely incorporate these into my workouts.I'm a believer.
