Worked Great for Removing Rust Stained Plaster
EDIT:It's been 1 year since I purchased this for my pool and the stains have returned. So this product kept them away for 11 months in my 15k gallon pool. I came here to purchase another 2 pack but noticed it's doubled in price since a year ago. I'll look elsewhere for a cheaper alternative even though I like this product.Original review:I was skeptical about this product based on the reviews but I purchased it anyway. My situation was that my in ground pool plaster (diamond brite) was discolored. It was a streaky yellow/orange tint that I couldn't remove with scrubbing and shocking the water. My water is almost always crystal clear so there wasn't any metal discoloration in the water itself, just on the plaster. Mainly the walls and steps. I live in Florida so I have to top off my pool with city water about twice a month and my city water picks up a lot of rust from the iron pipes before it gets to me so I'm sure that's the cause of my pool problem. I have a 15,000 gallon pool so I added 1 container plus half of another and within 24 hours the plaster stain was completely gone. It's now been 2 months since I treated my pool and the stain hasn't returned at all. Not even a little.Tips: Clean your filter before you start. Follow the instructions to a T. Reduce your chlorine to zero. Drop your PH and dump in the required amount of product based on your pool size. Run your pool for the next 48 hours straight and clean the filter again. When I cleaned my filter after the initial 48 hrs hours it went from a white filter to a gray filter and was kind of slimy. I assume this was the metals being removed since I've never seen my filter turn gray before. Now raise your PH to normal range, shock your pool and run your filter overnight and you're done.I think if this product doesn't work for you and you followed all the instructions then maybe you don't have a metal issue in your pool. It could possibly be an algae that doesn't respond to copper or shocking it chlorine. For that you need a different product.I'll update this review after 6 months of using the product and let you know if the stain returned. So far so good.

Seams to be similar to Dex, which is also good
This product is same in color as Dex all in one which also treats the metals. I live on horrible well water so it doesn't take long to see when something works, and this and Dex both work, but I got 3 of these per one Dex $$. Same color red as Dex, just smells stronger. It does mess with chlorine levels for two days, as it is saps all the chlorine so it's better to now even have any in the pool for a day or two. It turns those aqua marine pools to powder blue after about 15 minutes with pump on. This product is 5 stars because it works and is cheaper then it's clone. However, I also suggest you try hth metal defense for a long term solution as well.

Keeps our pool water from turning brown
This is the product we routinely use when we fill up our above-ground pool or hot tub. We have a well, so our water is very hard with minerals. When you add chlorine, the minerals precipitate out and make the water reddish brown. Add this to the water before you add the chlorine. You’ll have to clean or replace the filter, as it will collect the minerals. Works great, and it’s more concentrated than other brands that are meant for spas.

Didn't do the job
I have a 13,500 gal pool. I thought I would try this product since it is much cheaper that what I have used in the past. We have well water with very high amounts of manganese. I usually need to double the dose to remove the metals. I used 3x the dose of mineral out. When I added the chlorine, it still turned almost a light tea color. then I had to deal with fixing the color in my water. I will be going back to the more expensive brand that does the job.

Got Hardwater? Use Robelle
The price is amazing. We use tons of these type of chemicals due to high iron in well water. Even a little shock turns our water dark brown. We had alot of very dark brown powdery residue along walls of pool and bottom. We have had the inground pool for 30 years and this is the first year it ever happened. I have to think it is the Robelle as it sequestered the iron. It will stain your liner it's that dark if not removed by auto cleaner or brushing. I will buy more Robelle next year. It saved me hundreds of dollars this season.

HARD IRON WATER
My NEW ROUTINE ingredient for pool maintenance due to CRAPPY, HARD, HIGH IRON content WATER condition. My GREEN water wasn't due to ALGAE BUT INSTEAD due to HIGH IRON content. Mineral Out (PINK) bonds/clumps the iron metal content in the water, which makes it drop to the bottom of pool making it easier to vacuum clean. BLUE WATER again. INSTRUCTIONS on bottle were EXACT & spot on. RECOMMENDED!

Seems to work
Seems to work, to some degree. Not sure how much to add every month after reading reviews. Also, noticing slightly more algae problem, I'm wondering if this stuff binds the chlorine. Overall satisfied. When I change water every 2 years (this is small 8000 gal pool) I treat with heavy dose of ascorbic acid that removes iron stains very well, problem is it comes right back. This product seems to help, will continue to use.

Amazing Product
I followed the instructions on the label and it worked like a charm! My inground pool was turning yellow, the steps, the liner, the return jets, she skimmer and the main drain. The cause was too much iron in the pool water. Everything is back to its white and the yellow is gone! I highly recommend this product to anyone experiencing this issue!!
