Gimbal Guard for DJI Phantom 3 Professional by LANDSAFE - Carbon Fiber Landing Brace Accessory Protects Gimbal and Camera, fits OEM Phantom 3 Professional

I have this on my P3 Pro. The material seems like carbon fiber, not sure if it really is..I fits into the drone's landing gear only one way. It does fit tight in my P3P; I did not use the tywraps to secure it in, don't need to.It is a gimbal guard, it does not cover the camera; the camera is still unprotected at the bottom of the drone.If you cut different slots into the ends you could reverse the fitting of this into the landing gear and possibly cover more of the camera. I might do that, since I was really wanting more of that, to protect the camera.But, if it were mounted too far forward within the landing gear, the camera's video when the camera is pointing down would now be blocked by this guard (camera would still move to down position, but video would be blocked by this guard).As it currently is, the video is not being blocked, which is good.If you try to land on a rock, with this guard on you'd not be able too but ONLY if you are landing on that rock over the gimbal area where this guard is at. Your drone would tip since that rock would hit against this rock, and you'd bust your props, unless you had prop guards on.Stick to the no brainer rules; don't land on anything other than flat surface, like concrete, driveway, patio, etc. Then you'd not need this device.Not sure if these guards will cause unstable flight with higher winds though, kinda acting like a wing.I did not bother with the wire ties. It fits tight into my P3 Pro. Time will tell if it loosens up with more flights and use.

Great way to keep your gimble and camera safe. Specifically like this for packing in my bag with other gear. The gimble and camera stay safe from getting wedged against lens' and batteries.

We tested this on a DJI Phantom 3 Standard. First, let me say this attached very easily to our drone. It kind of just slid between the feet and it was snug enough that we didn't even need to use the cable ties. For our drone there was only 2 ways this would fit and I tried to capture both ways in the pictures below. For me, this was our biggest problem in that with this Guard in place it would obstruct the view of the camera when pointed straight down. I see the pictures in the listing, but for our drone, the camera had an obstructed view. I tried the best I could to demonstrate in the pictures below. I'm sure I could modify either the placement of the antenna or modify the Guard itself to make it work on my drone but that's not something I want to do at this point.In terms of protecting both the Camera and Gimbel, I guess you could say this works...within reason. Over 95% of the time we're landing our drone on a flat surface such as a driveway, grass, parking lot, or similar surface. If we were coming down on a pole or in a tree or very rocky (4-12" rocks) then I could see how this could offer some protection although it would not be full-proof. It's possible that the Guard's best area of protection would come during a crash landing or any other type of uncontrolled landing. I did not experience or test this type of landing but it might be worth it to you depending upon the type of drone you have and how/where you fly it.Also, we use a DJI travel case and when the Guard is in place, we are unable to get the drone into the case. Again, we didn't use the cable ties so it was simple to remove the Guard so that the drone could be placed into the bag.

Perfect..Fits right on my DJI Phantom 3 easily, and should keep my expensive camera safe.This is a no brainer to put on, and I'm sure will help when it comes to hard landings, something I hopenever to see to much of.Looks like a good solid product and design.
