Dysmio Lighting Wireless Ceiling Fan up to a Distance of 40-feet and Light Wall Control Three Fan speeds and Light dimmer

So the good is it initially solved my problem of not having enough wires at my fan to control both my fan speed and light as I needed 4 wires to control the fan and light and only had three wires at the fan. The bad is both the fan and light can come on at random times at various speeds - making it worthless. I live in a rural area with only one neighbor.I will try changing the dip switches but I am not confident it will solve the problem. It seems like any power flicker might cause the fan or light to come on. Btw Brand of what I received was Westinghouse, but the picture matched.++++++++Revised - my neighbor is not close by but we borrowed their fan control and sure enough it was on the same dip switch settings. So we changed the dip switches and have not had problems for two weeks. The light dim function does not work but that is no big deal.So this solved the problem of being able to control both the light and the fan with what was previously just a light switch. So no need to retire which is a huge value.

This is NOT wireless as the ad states. It's just a wired switch. It requires a wire from the ceiling to the switch box at the wall, as any wired light switch does. Very misleading and a waste of precious time.

The ceiling fan stopped working and previously the green button on the wall control stopped working, so i knew I needed to replace the receiver and the wall control on my fan I had previously purchased from Lowes. This combo package did the trick. Easy to replace - all the colors on the wires were the same. Set dip switches to same as the bad devices I was replacing and it worked well! Easy nice little 1-hour project including running up and down stairs to flip breaker several times! Nice bundle!

We had a similar item installed that died. We dismantled it and tried to revive it but we were unable to fix it. Ordered this device which looks exactly like the previous one. I am so glad I can now just press a button to turn on the light or adjust the fan options. The receiver piece is well hidden in the top of our light fixture.

This switch is not wireless as described, but must be hard wired to the fan. Product description does not make this fact clear.

Thought I could put this in the wall and it was remote power to the fan...but it requires 110V power like a normal switch.

These switches can not control dimmable bulbs or non dimmable bulbs. Essentially, its a wasted purchase. Especially after having 4 sets installed AND THEN finding this out. I want a complete refund.
