Lennox Multiposition-Lock Glider Chair and Ottoman Combo, White with Grey

I had a Shermag rocker that I bought 10 years ago and loved. It was comfy, well built, and I used it to death. When it came to replace it, I wanted another Shermag. I bought this three months ago. When putting it together we discovered that the holes to attach the base to the seat and back weren't drilled correctly. We were able to put it together but I contacted to company. Supposedly they were sending me a new base a month ago. It still hasn't arrived. Other than that, it's still not a great chair. The seat cushion isn't comfortable at all. The locking mechanism slips into locked position all. the. time. You're rocking along peacefully and *whack* you keep rocking and the chair doesn't. It's a great way to wake the baby up. I'm hoping that the new base won't have that problem.... assuming I ever get it. I'll update then.------------------UPDATE 1/8/2018-------------------------After three months, we finally got the base replacement...... but not the screws and locking mechanism which came already put together on the original chair. So I contacted them and they said they'd send it. Still waiting. However, tonight the foot of the original base snapped off. (pic included). So we decided to put on the new base and add the screw and lock when they arrived. A pain, but doable. Got the new base out. It's a totally different base. Doesn't even fit the chair we have. (pic included) So now, I'm out $200 and have no chair. It made it just over four months. If I could give this thing no stars, I would. Asking for a refund. We'll see what they say.------------------UPDATE 1/172018-------------------------I contacted them nine days ago asking for a refund. They've gone radio silent. We'd been communicating about replacement parts. The minute I asked for a refund instead, the stopped talking. I wouldn't buy from them again, strictly from a customer service stand point.------------------UPDATE 2/172018-------------------------I did finally hear back from them. Their response? "We don't give refunds. See the dealer." Well, since they strung us along for 5 months, we are outside of the amazon return window. So basically if you get a defective chair, DO NOT follow their instructions that say "if you have a problem contact us not the seller." It means you won't have the opportunity for a refund if you decide you want one.We did contact Amazon, just because I wanted them to know what Shermag was doing. Surprisingly we got a partial refund. It's not the full price, but it's a heck of a lot more than Shermag was going to give us. Thank you Amazon for great customer service.

I bought this for a person that has limited mobility. They like to 'rock', but not 'backwards'. This glider works perfect. More important, is that it can lock so it doesn't move, that is what distinguishes this chair from others (and is surprisingly hard to find).As for comfort, the cushions are total garbage. Grab a nice high density foam (wide) cushion - like you would get for car. The comfort part is something you can adjust by buying better padding, but the ability to lock the chair so it is rigid is what makes this worth the purchase.Assembly: It couldn't have been too bad, because the older family I gave it to managed to get it together.Overall, I am very happy. I do wish they would use better cushions, but as-is, this chair has become this older lady's goto chair. She can stand up from it, and doesn't feel scared by the rocking.

I heard that Shermag gliders used to be really great buys and even sat in one that another mom had for 10 years. I liked the taller back and the plush cushion and thought I'd at least give it a shot. Yes, I read all the 1 star reviews but I ordered one anyway (worst decision ever). We pulled it out of the box and I noticed that the seat piece was a little cracked. When my husband put it together, he sat on it and the seat completely broke! It's made of this cheap particle board stuff and somehow the four separate sides of the seat were attached to each other without any screws.Anyhow, I thought that we would just order a new seat part and it would be fine. I tried to call Shermag but their "customer service" line was just a message telling everyone to send them an email. After waiting a week, someone finally emailed me back and said they had the part and it would be $55 + $55 shipping. WHAT!?!? I'm not sure what has happened to this company but they are making a cheap product and not standing by their warranty. I promptly initiated a return on Amazon (than goodness for free returns!!) and ordered a different chair for my nursery.In addition to the cheap materials and horrible customer service, I didn't like the ottoman that it came with. When you sit on the chair, the ottoman is a good 6-8 inches lower than the seat. This seemed very weird to me and was kind of uncomfortable. It just felt like the ottoman was super small compared to the glider itself.

Arrived early (even to our rural community). I put it all together in about 20 minutes by myself. It definitely needed a couple days to air out before I could leave it in the baby's room with a "new/manufactured" smell. The color is as pictured and the white frame matches our DaVinci crib and dresser set perfectly. Easy to get in and out of when the baby is sleeping, and there are 4 or 5 locking positions if you don't want to glide. Gliding is smooth both with the chair and the ottoman. If you can't afford the Dutailier, the Shermag is a great alternative and we are happy with our purchase.

I am rating this 4/5 only because it was a little bit more difficult to put together. Some of the holes did not match up as good as they should have, but we were able to get it all completed and I have to say, not only does it look fantastic in the nursery, but it also is very comfortable. The price is just right and we couldn’t be happier with how quiet it is when rocking. I would recommend this chair to anyone looking for a bargain, comfort, and overall satisfaction!

I received the exact product I ordered. The padding is thick and comfortable. It was easy to assemble (by myself at 8 months pregnant). Comfortably fit me (5'3") and my husband (6'2"). Glides smoothly and quietly. Storage pockets on the sides. The color of the cushions is a warm dark grey - not the cool grey in the product photo. The cushions are removable for easy cleaning. The glider does not recline but it does lock in multiple positions. The ottoman does not lock.
