I bought a couple of these for my kids to use as water cups for nighttime. They don't leak if they get knocked off the bedside table and they're quite durable. The straw comes apart and all the pieces of the cup can go right into the dishwasher. I don't have issues with mold like others do. I have had these cups for months now, they're been through the dishwasher many times and they look and seal as though they are brand new. These are great cups.

Okay so at first I was obsessed with this cup. I make green smoothies for my toddler and this is perfect for it. My one complaint is that its hard to clean part of the lid. Love that it is dishwasher safe but I noticed some residue in the ventilation hole. It really is durable and leak proof thought and assembly is very easy.

My twin boys don't want to use sippy cups. They want cups with straws like the big kids. The problem is, they turn them upside down, creating a puddle on the table that they then slap their hands into and make a big mess with. If they're not doing that, they're throwing them down to the ground.Enter these Contigo Spill Proof cups to the rescue! The boys love em, they turn em upside down and although they may allow one little drop to spill through (likely the drop that was in the straw only), they're 99.99% spill proof. They also dont tip over easily or slide around on the table because of the grippy bottom.Great purchase.

Update: After using this cup for 4 months with diluted apple juice, and washing every night, I’ve noticed mold around the rim of the straw (the part with the valve). This seems inevitable since the valve portion has little crevices and gals that are hard to clean.Previous review: I love this cup for my 3 year old. I ended up buying another one. It’s spill-proof, but not entirely leak-proof (it little bit comes out the straw if tipped). It’s really easy to clean. So far, we haven’t had any issues with the straw becoming unscrewed.

I wanted this to be perfect, and it almost was. For what it's worth, it's held up better than every single other cup my 3 (lovely) gremlins have encountered. Pretty simple to wash in the top rack of the dishwasher.I 100% believe that the only reason they leak is because my twins are gifted in the ways of messydom.The removal of a star is because twisting the straw together is kinda a game for me at this point. It's finicky, and 7 out of 10 times it takes quite a few tries to get it right. Bit of a PITA.Otherwise, awesome cups.
