Canon MC-G02 Maintenance Cartridge, Compatible to Canon PIXMA G1220, G2260, G620 & G3260 Printers

Unfortunately this is a necessity for the Canon printer with tanks. Didn't use color printing for some time and required a full deep cleaning. I guess my maintenance cartridge was full!! Always printing in color occasionally to avoid clogged jets!! I guess you take the old one to FedEx to ship to Canon.

The Canon MC-G02 Maintenance Cartridge worked exactly as it should. Installation was quick and straightforward, just pop out the old one and slide this in. It resolved the printer’s maintenance alert right away, and everything is functioning normally again. No issues with compatibility or setup. A simple but necessary replacement part that does its job well.

Works as intended

I had to run several print head cleaning cycles when the printer stopped printing black. I got a caution message that this process uses a lot of ink, but I never considered where all that ink goes. I found out when a warning light came on and the printer would not print. Fortunately this maintenance cartridge was all I needed. Installation was easy. Removing one screw allows you to remove a cover plate and pull the old cartridge out. Inserting the new cartridge and replacing the cover plate and screw completes the process. The new cartridge even includes a plastic bag - slip the old cartridge in the bag, seal it up, and it's ready for disposal. The old cartridge will be full of all that ink I mentioned, so I slipped a plastic bag (the one that the new cartridge was delivered in) under the printer before I started, to protect the desk, and I was careful not to tilt the cartridge as I was handling it. Once I was done, the printer functioned again. The head cleaning worked.

Didn't even realize this was needed for my Canon printer until I saw a message in the print queue. I bought that in 9/2021 so this cartridge should last at least 4 years. Great price. Actual Canon part.

Worked perfect. Had to clean printheads. After cleaning print heads I did a nozzle print check and print was not visible. Did a ink flush with new maintenance cartridge and now printer prints perfectly. Printer Canon Pixma G3260 registers the cartridge.

This is a second time purchase, confirming the applicability of the Canon part. I've replaced one in the printer (painless), and keep one as a spare. They have the chip

Works great and easy to replace. For just a few cents more than 3rd-party brands, this is worth buying, as it's an original Canon replacement maintenance cartridge.
