I received these treads and could not believe the finish. It looked like they threw dirt into the mixture when they manufactured these. Look at my pictures. Every single one of my 18 treads were the same. I boxed them back up immediately and sent them back. What trash, no quality control at all. Wow....

The product description should be updated to include that these will not work with hard steps with rounded edges. Our wooden stairs (no carpet/runner) have fairly rounded edges. With these Vinyl Stair Treads in place, they created a safety hazard. A fairly large gap was created between the rounded edge of the step and the much sharper corner of the Stair Tread. This resulted in when we went up or down the stairs, we would easily slip off the edge of the step and sometimes fall. Aside from the safety factor, these would be a good inexpensive option for stairs with sharp corners. Our final solution (we didn't want to spend more than $60) was to acquire some free thin/low-pile carpet, cut out strips of it to match our stairs and attach them with some double-sided rug gripper, which was about $12 at the local hardware store. I have never experienced anything like it in my 15+ years shopping on Amazon. It required paying for shipping, getting reimbursed by Amazon for shipping (the Market Place seller would not pay for return shipping and Amazon was at first reluctant to do so) and then the Seller lost our return process (they blamed Amazon for it). Once I emailed the Seller about it, they were great and issued the refund immediately, which I appreciate. It was just a much bigger hassle of getting a refund than I have ever experienced before on Amazon.

We installed these on newly painted stairs. They looked and worked fine at first. We then mopped the floor and before they dried we noticed that they were very slippery. We are pulling them up and replacing them with a set from Home Depot that are less slick. While the mats do dry out after a while they are an accident waiting to happen. Since we tacked them down we can’t return them (that’s on us so not complaining). I wish we would have known how slick they were before tacking them down.

Worked great for what I needed them for. I needed to protect wood stairs that led up to my raised ranch home. The paint always wore off, but after installing these treads, problem solved! GREAT PRODUCT.
