Since this lipstick and lip gloss is almost 100% natural and safe, it does lack the texture and longevity of many of the lipsticks and lip glosses that I have been used to. I went to the Instagram account for Charlotte. Cook cosmetics to see the colors on skin tones. The swatches provided here are not at all like the colors in real life. I purchased Bordeaux which is warmer than it appeared on the CCC Instagram photos as well as the color chart here. The lipstick is opaque and covers thoroughly, but tends to evaporate and soak into the lips and leaves a substantial stain of color thereafter. I purchased the lip gloss in London, which did look like the swatch on the CCC Instagram account. It’s very hard to find nontoxic lip glosses that have shimmer. This is a very shimmery lavender lip gloss, but like the lipstick does not have that lip gloss slick feeling. It’s not Matte, but it just sort of absorbs into your lips, but still leaves a slight shimmery lavender tone. I am on the fence about purchasing Other colors. I do love that this is the cleanest lip stick and lip gloss product along side, Honest Beauty and maybe a handful of other brands.

The color is nice. It stays on for about 2-4 hours if I don't drink or eat. The only thing I don't like is that it smells like castor oil (since it's one of the ingredients) but also it isn't very hydrating for the lips which is a bit strange since it's oil-based. It's very matt and dry. I would recommend applying a layer of gloss or colorless lip balm on top

I've worn this liquid lip to work, to casual outings, to parties, and it does very well. Bottom line, I would recommend it! PROS: - Good ingredients (a few dyes, but nothing major) - Lightweight formula - Excellent longevity, pigment stays for hours - withstands food and drink crazy well CONS: - The matte formula does begin to feel a little bit dry and cracked after several hours. The overall look of it decreases just a little as well, so I find reapplying or pairing it with lip balm helps it perform well.

I bought this lipstick as I am looking to switch all of my products over to things that are more natural/chemical free. This lipstick did not dry my lips out at all! It was also a super flattering shade for my skin tone. As far as longevity goes, I have two thoughts. 1. It does wear down with drinking and eating. 2. I gave it 3 stars for the longevity category as it does wear down, however I wanted to emphasize this as a good thing as if something lasts 48 hours on your lips, it's probably toxic. So, I actually took this as a good sign. If you buy a shade slightly darker than your natural lip color, you won't notice longevity/wear issues I don't think. However, if you buy a dark shade for your skin tone, just carry it along with you and a compact to reapply as needed.
