Will this work even though my tree has been up a week

I think it should. It’s meant to prolong the life, so it might not work as well as if you used it right away but it’ll still help from it completely dying

No this will not hurt the tree. However it will get deleted as you add more water and you might want to purchase a new packet to add as the water is being added.

In my 35 years as an Advanced Life Support Paramedic, I have yet to treat a Christmas Tree that overdosed LOL! But seriously, I highly doubt it. Just keep it watered, the tablets actually may dissolve more slowly, and actually keep the tree fresher. I wouldn't advise this as a regular practice due to the cost of the product though.

Do you need more than one tablet a week for a 9.5 ft tree?

No you do not need more than one tablet for a larger tree. However if your tree is drinking a lot of water we recommend that you use one tablet for every gallon of water you place in the tree stand.
