excellent quality
Excellent, fragrant and delicious!

A great product to have on hand
LOVE!! I got this after reading that it’s a main ingredient in Tamiflu. I prefer not to take heavy meds if I don’t need to, so I bought this to have on hand for when I start to feel under the weather or if a kiddo comes down with the flu. This does not come ground or like tea, it’s whole. So I just let it steep in some hot water and then strained it into my cup. The flavor reminds me of black licorice, which I happen to like. I want to look up recipes because with a fun flavor like this, I bet there’s some fun drinks you could make specific to your liking. I appreciate that this one is organic. Will continue to keep this product on hand.

Wonderful star anise
Awesome product. Very fresh, flavour exceptional! My parrots enjoy them as well! Would buy agian!

Tastes terrible for star anise
The product is fresh and smells ok but the taste isn't good like the star anise I buy at our local health store. It lacks the delicious licorice flavor and tastes more like medicine. Even sweetened with honey it tastes bad. I can only guess the taste is off due to the soil it's grown in. Too bad because the price is fair considering it's organically grown, but I can't order this again and I can't recommend it.

Perfect for mulled wine
Smells so good! I used some pods for mulled wine. Did I say it smells good? I LOVE the smell! And it added a great flavor to the mulled wine. Also used cinnamon sticks and whole cloves but I think it was the anise that kicked up the spice flavoring.

Unfortunately this product was a huge disappointment. I opened the bag and the star anise had a lot of black color (not just brown). The were also a number of white spots inside the seed pods :(
