Leaking Basil
I read the reviews before ordering this oil and the most common complaint I could see was the bottles leaked in shipping. I decided to take my chances, but when I opened the mailbox and could smell basil I new my luck wasn’t any better😉. About a 1/4 of the bottle leaked into the box. I gave it a four because I love the smell. I would probably order it again for that reason.

Basil oil
I bought this for a laundry scent to put on dryer balls. The scent has a strong plant smell but to me does not smell like basil. I tried mixing it with other scents to see if it would smell a little better but it didn't help. The scent does last a long time though.

Excellent Essential Oil
I bought this to replace a not so strong one that I bought on EBay. I wasn’t disappointed by reading the Amazon reviews. The scent is very strong & you won’t be disappointed. I’ll keep them on my list for future purchases since I have these oils for my diffuser.

First you can't return this item, second it does not smell like Basil essential oil and this the packaging was opened

The basil smells like black licorice
If you like black licorice with hint of basil then absolutely buy this product.

Didn’t realize basil oil doesn’t smell like basil
I absolutely love the smell of basil so I got this. But it doesn’t smell like basil, more like licorice or absynth or something! It’s very strong smelling, but not a smell I like. I still use it to freshen laundry or deter ants or weird uses but NOT in my diffuser anymore!

I’ve been mixing it with other essential oils and diffusing. It gives your blend a nice fresh herbal scent.

Great scent and packaging questionable quality!!
The scent of this oil is divine, I feel like I just sniffed a fresh Basil Leaf. As advertised it's 4 oz of oil it comes packaged really nicely and all for $24.60 which makes me wonder of the actually quality. I regularly buy oils to use in my skin and hair care products and they are extremely costly so why is this one so cheap. Just food for thought.

I will probably not purchase this brand in the future, only because there is to safety data on the product. Where it is made? Where does the product come from? What part of world does the basil come from? I also find it a bit watery and very strong scent.
