So glad I found these. Best tool I’ve used to cut tie-wraps. They always give me a perfect flush cut, the end of the tie-wrap is never sharp. I love the back of the cutters that helps to tighten the tie-wrap before cutting it. They also work well cutting small cables but I will be keeping these cutters mostly for tie-wraps. Buy them, you won’t regret the purchase

This flush cutter is purpose built for effectively cutting plastic flush and smooth. The ridged part is awesome for gripping cable ties to tighten them. The cut was flush and smooth.

Third Tsunoda product, and really impressed as I have been with the others. I did try cutting some cables ties with it, and hey! It works. Cuts flush. However, I bought it because it seemed to be more general purpose than that. And I'm not disappointed. The blades close perfectly. It's not as sharp as the finest cutters but it's sharp enough to easily cut a single 0.18mm strand of wire. It won't quite do it at the very end of the blade but close to it. Tsunoda specs say it cuts 10AWG copper and 14AWG soft iron. (A lot of component leads are actually iron.) So that's 2.6 and 1.6mm diameter respectively. It's not a "true" flush cutter - there's a small bevel on the outside of the edge, which is so small I think you would have trouble noticing on a cut, but I think probably makes this blade stronger than true flush cutters. I have the small angled cutter MEN-115 on the way, and I think this KBN-150 will also serve to cut component leads larger than the capacity of the little 115 cutter. It turns out it's also very handy to have around when opening packages, to cut off seals and bits of tape and plastic and so on. An instant keeper, this one.

Specialist pro tool, beautifully made. grips tie, pull snug, and cut flush in one flowing motion. point tip also makes it easy to cut and remove ties.
