This is a thick mat and it's substantial by weight. I don't mind that at all though because it is built with rubber. I get great grip with it and there is no over powering smell like I read about with many of the other mats made from rubber.I love this mat. I hope you do too.

This is a very good mat. I'm a yoga instructor and I use it a lot. Good grip, non slip, soft but not too soft, no smell.. Plus the price is right. You won't be disappointed.

I rarely do product reviews, but for the XRSize Yoga Mat, I am highly motivated to do so, because it is truly an excellent product from every perspective. We recently purchased two of them. The design is exceptional and well-thought-out for maximum functionality….it stays in place as you move and change poses, and it minimizes slippage from perspiration. Moreover, it is 5 millimeters in thickness compared to the majority of mats that are only 3 millimeters, which provides important extra cushioning for greater comfort during your session. If you are older, this is a perfect feature to benefit possibly problematic joints like the knee and elbow. The length of the Mat, at 72 inches, compared to the “standard” of 68 inches, is a benefit… so that you don’t end up with your head on the wood studio floor half the time, especially if you are tall. And the XRSize Mat is not only ideal in functionality, it is also good for your health in its material composition. It is made out of natural organic rubber, and has eliminated the many undesirable toxic chemicals that are bad for your health and the environment, which are found in many other Yoga mats on the market (PVC being just one example of such a substance). In fact, the XRSize Mat has been specifically tested and validated to be free of a very large number of “substances of very high concern” that are often found in other mats. And, there was really no noticeable “rubber smell” when we opened the box they came in. So the XRSize Mat itself is actually good for you, and for your kids if you are starting them out in Yoga. Finally, the XRSize Company itself is a great feature…..their Customer Service is superb --- exceptionally helpful, communicative, and responsive to questions that customers may have. (I had concerns, since we were searching for a Mat that did NOT have the many undesirable chemicals found in many other mats, and XRSize provided specific factual information and responses to my questions to completely resolve my fears). They also proactively provide customers with recommended care procedures, such as how to clean the Mat, and with follow-up after shipment to be sure there are no problems. All in all, in my opinion you could not find a better Yoga Mat, or a better Company from which to purchase it. The Mat is available in two options, one with the Mat alone, or a second one including the Mat, an oversize carry bag, and a Yoga DVD. I highly and without reservation recommend the XRSize Yoga Mat and the XRSize Company as the clearly optimal choice for your Yoga practice. - Michael
