Stainless Steel 90 Degree Flip Door Sliding Latch - Safety Barn Door Lock, Right Angle Curved, Corrosion Resistant

I bought this latch for the barn sliding door that leads to my bathroom. After a year of using it, I decided to write this review. My door does not have a floor guide/floor track. There is also quite a bit of distance between the door and the wall so this latch helps bridge that gap and helps keep the door from swinging out. The latch works great. Easy to install and the metal is SUPER durable. I have accidentally forgotten that the door was latched on several occasions and have attempted to open the door while it's still locked. The metal has not bent or warped in any way which in turn saves my wall from being damaged (which would not have happened if I would have installed an old school eye hook and latch) I wanted to avoid installing a lock that could accidentally be ripped out of the wall or hurt someone that bumped into it. I chose this lock because you can use it as a left wall or right wall mount. This feature allowed me to install it on the opposite side of where my door handle is. The only reason the latch catches in the video is because I had to use longer screws than what it came with, so the screw heads stick out a little and sometimes make the latch catch. You can avoid the snag if you don't push the latch against the screws but instead pull it towards you. For demonstration purposes, I was purposefully pusing against the latch to show the snag. Overall I'm super happy with this product and reccomend it to anyone thinking to buy it.

As expected

Works as intended until it doesn't. I was able to keep the kids out of the room until they pulled hard enough. Children are stronger than this product FYI

These work great but only if you’re willing to modify them, we put it on exactly how it showed to put it on and for some reason the lock is just too tight as of right now I have to push with a lot of force to get the lock to sit in place And before that I had to take a screwdriver to pry the piece open more to even get it to do that. I’m going to have to use a screwdriver and try it open even more but this is how it’s working for now overall it seems like a good product just not designed well.

Got this to help latch our sliding door. The hardware is nice and solid. Easy concept and has everything but the drill included. A bit on the larger side. Was looking forward to putting this up - and my 50 year old doors are warped. The good news is it will probably work wonderfully on my new doors!

Bought this for a camp door. Installed it and on the first use the swing arm broke off. Very weak materials and I could not think of one use that it would last based on the materials its made from. Do not buy!

Never knew about these latches till I searched for gate latch. And what a brilliant idea they are exactly what I needed. Works brilliantly, and easy to install.
