Great wood stain for up cycling furniture. A little goes a long way.

I have never used stain before and I needed to change the colour of some shelves I got off Dunelm, as they came in an ugly yellow/orange colour. I sanded the wood down and used sponge to apply the stain, then sealed it. Colour was exactly what I wanted (I used walnut) and was smooth to apply. Plus it dries quickly! I’m very pleased with how it turned out.

This is the Walnut stain, with before, during and after photos! The worktop is unfinished beech from Wickes. I knew I wanted a dark wood but it’s been 6 months since installing as I was scared of getting the wrong colour or finish. I bit the bullet when I saw the reviews on this, whilst searching for a well known brand of stain. I applied it with an old sponge, wiping in the direction of the grain and only needed a small amount for this whole worktop. You do need to be quick to spread it out and rub it in, but it’s very easy and took me only 20 minutes in total. Thank you! Now I’m wondering if I could stain my dining table and chairs 🫣

Really liked the ease of use and low to nil scent, but was just a bit disappointed that the colour was more oak than walnut. The piece was really liked though

I had some left over beech from the kitchen, so I made a little rack for my coffee, I didn't want beech on beech, so I bought this stain. Walnut is a beautiful wood, and this stain looks great, but I forgot quite how dark walnut is, it's a bit darker in person, than on the photo too. I think I should have gone for rosewood or dark oak. It came out great though and thinking about it, I might also have added too many coats. Anyway, I liked it and will be buying more stains in the future! EDIT: Added in another photo of another project I used it on. Very happy with this one. One coat of the stain made the wood look exactly how I wanted it to look!
