Lbyurs Creative Mushroom Nails Jigsaw Puzzle Game with Storage Basket Mosaic Pegboard Educational Toys

I'm always looking for toys that my girls will have fun playing with, while also learning and/or using their creativity. The mushroom puzzle reminds me of a Light Bright without the lights. Both of my girls have spent hours over the past 10 days making different scenes and objects on the pegboard. They are 7 years old and almost 3 years old. The pieces are pretty small so my youngest only uses this with direct supervision.The pegboard clips inside the blue tray. It's held in place well, and doesn't fall out. The blue tray has a handle for easy carrying, which is nice since it's actually the carrying case for the mushroom pieces. When not in use, the mushroom pegs fit underneath the pegboard and inside the tray. I always love toys that make storage easy. The pegs are easy to push in, and they make a quiet popping sound to indicate they're locked in place. Getting them out isn't as easy though. It's not super difficult, but it's a little frustrating and the reason I took away a star. The shape of the mushrooms makes them hard to grab in order to pull them out, especially when they're close together. My daughters find it easier to push them up from the bottom, but if you aren't covering them with you other hand, they will go flying. You can also flip the white pegboard over and push the pieces back into the blue tray.Quality wise, everything seems sturdy and well made. The tray and pegboard we received have no issue. Also, none of the pegs were faulty or deformed. There are a few pictures on the side of the box that give ideas on what to make, but there are no instruction in the box. Not everyone will agree, but I see that as a good thing. I'd much prefer my kids use their imagination to create something unique than to copy off a picture.I received this item at a discount in exchange for my honest review. As a mom to four young and active children, I'm always on the look out and search for good activities and games to keep them entertained and busy. There are always times of each day that they will come to me asking for what the next thing they can do is...and it's super helpful to have games or activities that they can do on their own (without my help) for at least a half hour or so. This pegboard puzzle kit is a neat, fun activity that my children have really enjoyed so far! I do have two drawbacks that caused me to leave a 4 star review instead of 5 though. The case that all the pegs are stored in with a handle seems to come in all different colors...? The listing photo in the item description shows that it is green, the photo on the box that it arrives in shows that it is blue, but the actual color of the case is orange! I just found it very odd to not have a consistent color shown because if there is choices then I would like to have the option of picking which color I wanted. My other concern is that there was no instruction or ideas booklet included with this kit. Now I realize that children need to learn to create things on their own, but my kids thrive best while following directions or some ideas to spur on their creativity. There is only a couple very small pictures of some sample ideas to create on the outside of the box, but I won't be keeping the cardboard box since all the pieces fit very nicely inside the case.
