I recently purchased the BASENOR Tesla Model Y Backseat Air Vent Cover Air Flow Vent Grille Protection Set of 2, and I am extremely satisfied with this product. Just received these vent covers and installed them. Took less than a minute to remove the adhesive and quickly clicked them over each of the two floor vents under the front seats. Now I have the piece of mind that coins, debris and small rocks from shoes won’t go into the vents, without affecting the airflow. I highly recommend these for any Tesla Model Y owner. Works great, looks like OEM and super easy to install.

As soon as I saw this product, and noticed the huge unprotected air vents underneath the front seats. I purchased. To my surprise, it seems like Tesla is making those air vents bigger and even though the manufacturer states that it is compatible with my car. It claearly doesn’t fit. (View attached pictures). UPDATE 10/10/2023: After careful consideration I decided to update my review; the product seems to be of good quality and believe that it's not BASENOR's fault that Tesla decided to change the size of the air vent. Hope they come out with a revised version.

Fits our 2021 Tesla Y ! After I had to retrieve a glue stick and a magnet from the floor vent under our driver’s side (gotta love kids), I knew we had to prevent future occurrences. Purchased these vent covers. One side snapped on easily, the other one took a little finagling, but once they were snapped on, I didn’t feel like the adhesive tape was even needed.

The vents themselves are flimsy plastic and not well secured, so the vent covers should fit well and have good adherence so that they stay on when the vent itself shifts or deforms, or is accidentally bumped (maybe by an under the seat storage bin) or kicked (maybe by a passenger in the back seat). The vent covers fit poorly, they are slightly oversized and too rigid - think of a tupperware container with a too-big lid that has no tensile strength or grip because it's rigid plastic. Not a big deal if the adhesive strip is strong enough to compensate for the bad fit and grip... except the adhesive strip has zero grip strength. It's some off brand adhesive tape that is impossible to peel the red cover from.

Fitted these to an October 2023 Fremont build Model Y Performance. These were a PAIN in the arse to install! At first, I thought the fit was wrong. They wouldn’t SNAP or CLIP on even though they have clip edges, so I opened a return. I couldn’t find a sure alternative, so decided to give it one more go before returning them. I didn’t bother peeling off the sticky adhesive cover as I wanted them to snap on and they did but with BRUTE FORCE. You almost have to pull the actual vent up slightly, get one side of the clip over the edge and clip on the other side by using force to bend some of the ABS plastic (cover and the vent) until it properly wedges on. I got there in the end. Tried pulling them off to see if they fit properly and they do, so I cancelled the return. The irony is I ordered exactly the same looking vent cover for a 2022 Shanghai build Model Y Performance (even though the brands of these vent covers are different, they look EXACTLY the same, so I am sure they are coming from the same manufacturer) and they snapped on straight away, no problem, hence why I opened the return on these in the first place. Argh!

Quality product. Very easy to install and they fit nicely. Just take an extra second or two to tuck it into the right places as you press down on the taped edges. Nothing exciting, just a solid way to keep junk out of the vents.

This product does what it needs to do, and is super easy to install - didn't even need to use the installation video. Install took about 10 minutes. There were a few challenges getting around the Tesla/OEM felt/floor coverings around the opening (see before and after photos), but it just took a little bit more work. One point of feedback for BASENOR would be to not have the "Y" in the middle of the vent cover for a more clean look, but it helped with aligning the vent cover properly.
