Nothing I have right now says where they were made. I looked thru the order sight and found nothing either but from the manufacturer's name and the brushes being BPA free, FDA approved and this well made.......I'm guessing "Not China".

Q: What are the lengths of the 4 ?

The longest one is 10 1/4 inches. The shorter ones are 8 2/8 inches.

Q: Can these be used for applying stain or paint to wood?

I would think you'd be much better off buying brushes for this purpose at Home Depot or Lowes (or, of course, Amazon ;-) ). These Silicone Basting Brushes are intended for food preparation - while they would certainly work for painting or staining wood, thereafter they'd be ruined for kitchen use, so I think it's be a waste of money.
