These things are pricey but they save a lot of work when fencing. So nice for joining 10-wire field fence, which without these takes ages to make a join. Beautiful clean join. Easy repairs too.

These little things are the best for quick fence fixes. One person can easily splice a fence line in seconds. My only recommendation would be that you wrap the excess on the opposite sides to get the best electrical connection.

I had a few places in my woven wire fence run that were short sections, 8’- 16’ runs like where I cut in to install gates. They’re too short to get the fence stretcher and come alongs in there so I used these on 1 end instead and they work absolutely great at getting the fence guitar string tight. I had tried a knock off brand first because they were a couple dollars per pack cheaper, these Gripple brand joiners are well worth paying a couple dollars extra for. With the other brand I couldn’t pull the fence as tight as I wanted, the opposite side would slip and pull through. With these Gripples I quickly learned you have to be careful using them, I pulled a 14 gauge center wire so tight it actually snapped the wire. They are a little difficult to release if you need to take them back off, but that’s fine, I didn’t build my fence to be easy to take apart. You have to use the Gripple tension tool and the little release tool together to be able to get them loose.

Solid, very convenient tensioning system. No complaints.

Once you gripple, you’ll never not gripple.

Work great for poly deer fence wire. Some on my original fence has been in place for many years and the gripples have been reused several times.
