Good Quality - Easy to Set Up and Use
This has turned out to be a pretty nice trail camera for the price. Construction seems to be solid and the rubber seal used to seal the unit is fairly substantial and should keep moisture and dirt out under normal usage.Included accessories were a tree strap, adjustable camera mount with mounting hardware, a micro USB cable, and a manual. (see pictures) Note: The trail camera has a standard ¼" camera mount built into the base so it can be mounted on a standard camera tripod. (Batteries and a MicroSD card are not include.)I was a little concerned at first when I went to install the 8 AA batteries to power the camera as I didn't see the battery compartment lid and thought I was going to have to remove the tiny screws that are used on the housing. However, turns out the battery compartment cover can be easily accessed with the camera open and doesn't require any tools to remove. The camera can also be powered by a fairly common 6-volt DC power source (not included), the barrel plug receiver is on the bottom of the camera. (I would only use this power source in a covered, protected setting where there is no chance of rain or moisture getting to the camera.)After I installed a 64gb MicroSD card I was ready to set up the camera. Set-up was extremely easy as the on-screen menus guide you through all the steps. Basically you're just setting language, the date and time, motion sensitivity, picture and video quality, video length. You can also choose to have audio recorded, choose to have password protection, set shot lag, and choose to have the time/date displayed. The camera also has a setting in set-up that uses the front LEDs to indicate when the trail camera sees motion allowing the user to make adjustments to the trigger zone of the camera. Once set I just slid the switch to the "On" position and a 15-second countdown begins, after the camera is set and ready to record.I have just started using the trail camera and it does a very good job so far capturing movement with daytime and nighttime pictures and video coming out pretty clear. You have a choice of viewing the pictures and videos on the built in LCD screen, or you can plug it into a video monitor or TV, and of course you can remove the Micro-SD card to view or transfer images to computer. So far I am pleased with the camera build, ease of use, and the picture and video quality of this trail camera. I will post some picture and video captures once I capture something more interesting than just me clumsily mounting the camera.

Excellent High Resolution Images and Video
The media could not be loaded. The camera's images and video are high quality and there are many choices for the both image and video resolutions. The examples I include here are at the middle of the resolution range have great detail and accurate colors.I've captured video of birds and chipmunks at the bird feeder. The microphone picks up the birds chirping. You can turn on or off the side sensors. If something is moving across the view, then having the side sensors on helps since there is a slight delay from motion detection to start of video. The camera takes incredible images of moonlit sky. It's fun to take time lapse images in day and night. It would be a nice feature if you could adjust the light sensitivity for the night time mode to come on whenit's darker or not at all and instead always take color images if you have a light on during the night. It's great that you don't see the IR leds.To connect to the camera with phone, first connect via bluetooth, then wait patiently about 20 seconds forcamera to appear in WiFi network list, then connect via WiFi.It is easier to change settings and view photos/videos on cell phone or tablet, than it is on small screen on unit.Downloading the images/video is easy. The unit's screen is small, but the image and text are clear and you can scroll through the settings. It's true that even Ni-MH rechargeable batteries do not last long if many images/videos are taken over a few days.I have not tried alkaline batteries. You can use external power supply so that could be a bigger battery or AC transformer. It has rained on the camera for days and it has performed fine. I recommend this camera for the high quality images and numerous settings.

good for the price
In the last seven years I've used eleven different trail cameras sold under nine different brands. Running continuously in a hot and humid environment, usually the electronics fail first. After about two weeks and 1,200 pictures taken by the Usogood, here are my observations on the performance of this camera to date:The good:* Good trigger performance with sensitivity set to medium; only a few pictures are missing an animal.* Good low-light exposure with fairly even illumination across the frame and no blown highlights* Low priceThe average:* Motion blur. IR flash and low-light color pictures are taken at 1/30 of a second, which is fine for still subjects but blurry for moving ones.* Camera layout and setup. It uses a common two-latch design and easy-to-follow menus. Note that the camera uses only micro SD cards, 32 GB max. Micro SD cards can be fiddly to insert or remove in the dark or with gloves. The not-so-good:* Unusual image processing makes pictures look noisy and/or wormy when blown up (see example). Max 4416x3312 resolution is not useful because the additional pixels do not reveal additional details. The camera appears to use an edge-following algorithm to increase sharpness and add pixels that aren't there on the image sensor. The result looks a lot like pictures from a Toguard camera taken in 2018.Additional tidbits:* The camera's field of view is on the narrow side, so be prepared to set it back from the area you want to photograph.* Picture numbering rolls over at 999, not 9999, so be prepared to download pictures to several folders to avoid confusing duplication. All picture names start with "DSCF0" followed by three numbers; the leading zero never changes. This peculiarity also afflicted the Toguard camera. Conclusion:* Reasonable performance for the price. You will probably be satisfied with the Usogood as long as you aren't expecting Hubble Telescope image quality.
