XCM Cross Battle adapter plus RUMBLE

I'm moving towards PS3 from my 360 now that most of my friends bought PS3s so I was looking for a 360-style PS3 controller I could use for shooters. I bought this and a WIRED 360 controller after being disappointed by a couple 3rd party 360-style PS3 controllers. I was not happy with the large deadzones on those controllers. I should have just bought this to begin with.I received an authentic XCM adapter PLUS version. There are knockoffs out there so beware. XCM's website tells you how to spot them. Plugged it into my Slim 160GB and all buttons and sticks work including the guide button. Player indicator lights up properly though you cannot turn on the PS3 with it but that's like any USB PS3 controller. I haven't noticed any lag so far. Analog control is spot on with no ridiculous deadzones. Have not tried any rapid fire yet since that's not what I bought it for.Tried it with the BF3 beta and Uncharted 3 MP and it feels great. The problem with those games is that the fire button is on R1 which translates to RB on the 360 controller so it feels a little weird but you can get by. Make sure the game you want to play with it has the option to swap the 1 and 2 shoulder buttons because this adapter does not swap any buttons.Highly recommended for all PS3 players looking for a 360-style controller. This is your best option unless you need wireless since this only works with wired 360 controllers.

This adapter works. However it is not and will never be good for games that require you to do the fighting game moves like rotating the sticks 90 or 180 degrees and so on. I tested it with God of War and it was sweet (excluding trying to kill medusa and some bosses that require u to do the left analog stick sequence: 180 and 360 degrees movement) and Modern warfare looked great. No lag detectable lag (Lag does exist but cannot be noticed when playing FPS games). However when it comes to street fighter IV as in for fighters like Ryu and Ken. u will not be able to get an hadoken in 100 tries. Now My main reason for buying this controller was for NBA 2K11. I have this game on PC and i use xbox360 controller for it. i was disappointed because of one problem just like street fighter trying to do the 180 degrees spin move and crossover was impossible to execute. Else this is great for most people who will need it for FPS it works perfect no detectable lag at all. Will definitely sell mine for the minor cons. This proves that as of now there is no reliable third party device that can operate PS3 without issues. Even the over hyped GIOTECK HF-1 Bluetooth controller failed with horrible analog stick lag. This adapter is the closest u can get. It works like a charm for FPS games.

For those looking for a solid multi-console Fight Stick adapter without modding I took one for the team and I'm impressed. Seems to work great without noticeable lag on my new Mad Catz Chun-Li TE stick and I'd consider myself to be a slightly elevated scrub ( definitely not an expert ) but I think I'd be able to tell if there was a great deal of lag. This is actually the second revision of the hardware Cross Battle Plus not the 1.0 version without rumble that you may have seen reviewed on Shoryuken. Milage may vary and who knows if older hardware affected the initial reviews but on my newish PS3-Slim its great for the price. Only going with four stars since I'm not an expert frame counter but I think this is probably good enough for non-tournament level players.

I own and xbox 360 (which I think is superb) and a playstation 3 because all my friends like to play online for free ;) So I bought this since I was comfortable using my 360 controller over the PS3 one. I think the Ps3 Controller is way to small and I just dont like it.So overall, this XCM Cross Battle Adapter works and works rather well. They only this is I can feel a slight lag but thats expected using a different controller that has to wired going through another device that is wired. I notice the lag more so in Super Street Fighter IV where u have to be quick and I miss some moves sometimes but overall its an awesome device. I believe they have a newer version as well.

The reason i have given given this a 5 star rating is very simple, this product simply works. As the description for the product says, it works by plugging a WIRED xbox 360 controller to it, not charge and play kit, just like that plug it and youre done, and as for what other reviewers are saying about the HOME button not working, and the led lights flashing all the time is in my experience NOT true. The xbox home button works exactly like the one on the dualshock 3, AND the led doesnt flash, but rather tells you what number controller you are using, just like the dualshock.As for lag, i have not encontered any, and yes i did test them both the xbox controller with the XCM and the dualshock 3 side by side and there was no controller lag whatsoever.Obviously there is no sixaxis because the xbox controller doesnt come with it, so its not the products fault.Overall is a great product and works as advertised, if you already own an xbox 360 wired controller (like i did) this is a miracle worker.
