I'd like to say this product worked great! I used a long bore cam to find where the break in my sewer line was, then I measured how far down it was and connected this awesome device to my snake and brought it down to the measurement and I found where it is outside in my yard!! Now I can dig it up and fix it myself! The price for this is crazy! Good compared to what a contractor would charge you for their 3k locator!!

I bought this to try and locate the path of my waste line to the sewer, but it could not handle any typical bends in piping. After trying it in 3 different location, tub overflow, under sink after p-trap, and the washing machine waster pipe I finally gave up. I even got it stuck for 20 minutes and thought I would have to cut the line and leave it in my drain. Fortunately after violently shaking it, it finally came loose and gave up on it. I think the only way it will work is through smooth large radius bends. Save your time and hire a plumber with a scope that can accurate locate line paths for you.

I realized once the unit arrived that it would not sense over 24 inches deep.

My Supervisor got this in 2 days and so far does what it’s suppose to do.

You can only detect a few inches.
