Great value
This works as it should, like other reviewers have mentioned it’s best to test with low light conditions. For me the best time to test is right after dusk.

Inexpensive and effective
Inexpensive and effective electric fence tester. As others have noted it uses neon lamps, which are dim and hard to see in sunlight. However, if you shade the lamps with your hand or hat, you can see how well the fence is working. Works as expected.

Very hard to see the lights on unit
Very hard to see the lightning the display, even when you try to shade it. Otherwise it works fine.

Where's the light
Cannot even see the little flashing light even in the dark it is so light you can barely see it save your money buy something better it is very lightweight easy to carry the cable length is perfect the only downfall is you can't see the light and if you can't see the light you really can't check your electric fence

Works perfectly
This fence tester works really well giving the user an accurate measure of how powerful their fence is. Yes the lights are not bright enough to see in bright sunlight, but if you simply cover it with your hat or a piece of cardboard or aper, you can see is easily. When its cloudy or early or late in the day, the lights are very bright and easily seen and interpreted. The cord to the ground electrode is long enough to test the top wire on almost any fence. I am totally happy with this tester and see no real reason to spend more money on anything else. Buy and use with confidence.

Not bright
Light could be alot brighter it's hard to see outside just look for a faint flicker like really faint works better toward dusk when it's not as bright

Works great need to use in low light hard to see the lights on it but for the price it is great way to check electric fence functionality
