AqueonPure Betta Beads Purple, 8.8 oz

It does not state until you get the pack not to use with filters so no good for my aquarium. Company however stated I could keep but it's gone in the bin as no good for my aquarium.

the package says: if they shrink prematurely it means that the water is “too harsh” for ur fish and now that the bag has established a safer water w ph if u add another bag it won’t shrink. they do that to indicate that ur water was too harsh. that’s the whole point.my fish loves these. i’ve had him for two years and he plays in them, puts his lil face in them. even when they’re shrink they’re FAR too big for a fish to get it in its mouth - even the smaller pieces. i’ve never had a worry. i don’t fill my entire tank w them i get a few bags to make like a ball pit on one side but up to u. very good!!!DO NOT think poor quality because they shrunk early- it happens to me everytime. it says on package. its neutralizing the PH balance

I don't know if these are supposed to be this way. There's 2 bags of pink and one bag of green. The green ones are tiny. Pink ones sort of transparent. I like the look. My Betta seems to be okay with them. I did buy a bag of white and black from PetSmart and they were almost twice the size. I'm wondering if in shipping the heat caused a reaction. I put the recommended amount. I'm happy with them. No smell. Like another review said. They're to help balance the water and the faster they shrink, harder your water. You might need to add water conditioner, I do . I've read Bettas also need some salt conditioner for their fins. I've not gotten that far yet.

Introducing this product to my betta’s habitat has made the little guy much happier thanks to all the foraging [he thinks] he’s doing. I’ve also observed a noticeable difference in water quality since adding this to his aquarium; seems to be cleaner. I definitely recommend this to anyone with a betta. It not only simulates behavior activities from its natural environment but it promotes ideal water conditions suitable for betta. Plus it is cheap and will last several weeks before needing replaced.

This is the first time using betta beads but my fish is swimming along the the first time ever. He seems very curious about how they feel . So in my opinion he is enjoying them and that's all that matters. Thank you , Linda
