Great Mixer at a Great Price...
This mixer performs quite well in all mixes. Plenty of power and flexibility. Love the locking bowl feature... (if you don't know yet, the stainless bowl locks to the base via bayonet style tabs). If you're needing a mixer, why pay way more just to get a unit that has a port to add on an ice cream maker? You're needing to mix ingredients in a bowl for various recipes, you're not taking precious time in the kitchen to make a half-pint of fudge ripple. Right?? It has the flexibility with the mixing attachments for cakes, cookies, bread, pies, whatever ... the 400 watts of power is plenty for all recipes I can think of ... it's nice & compact & doesn't take up much counter space ... the 6 speeds (and the power boost) are separated by reasonable rpm differences ...the tilt-back head provides easy bowl removal & access to your attachments ... I LOVE IT !!! OK, now the bad stuff ... the mixing blade doesn't quite get to the bottom of the bowl and an occasional spatula scrape is needed. That's it...! -CONNIE B.

Mixer for dummies
This machine was purchased for blending mashed potatoes/ sweet potatoes and kneading dough for gluten free water bagels. Works great for mashing potatoes. Expect the hook attachment will do its job kneading the bagel dough next. Runs smoothly and quietly and an economical match for a Kitchen Aid mixer 4 times the price. Sturdy heavy duty construction. The only concern I can think of is that you have to be careful when pushing the button along the side that drops down the top of the unit. It drops down very quickly into the metal bowl. . Also the attachments insert easily but require more of a yank to disengage. The mashed sweet potatoes were awesome.

Bought as a gift for my 16 yr old daughter who has found a love for baking....
Bought as a gift for my 16 yr old daughter who has found a love for baking....and she loves it. She, of course, wanted a Kitchen-Aid, but for her needs this is a great little mixer. The good- Price!!, ease of use, mixing bowl, dough hook and whisk are stainless steel, fairly strong motor, easy to clean. the bad - all plastic body is so so quality, (but if you use it gently, it is fine), mixing blade is hard plastic (but works fine), would be nice to have a few more speeds, This is a very good stand mixer. I think that for the price it can't be beat. As stated I bought this for my daughter, who absolutely love it! We'll have to see how long it lasts as she is using the crap out of it and I have gained 5 lbs since I got for her. But she is a great baker. This machine work fine, has a strong motor, and for cakes, pasteries, cookies and the like it works great. I can see how some people have complained about the machines ability to mix bread dough (I would not recommend using it for that often) but it will get the job done, if you use a little care). It looks great, works fine (so far) and she has not had any issues with it so far. The "fold" in feature, left you manually pulse the motor to "gently" fold ingredients, it works, its more a marketing gimick then anything else, becasue you can just start and stop any other stand mixer in the low speed setting and get the same results. It will move around with a heavy batter or dough, but the suction cups keep the mixer for running all around your counter. As it is make of plastic it will shake rattle and swing with heavy batters and dough at high speed. overall, for the price this a pretty good stand mixer to get the budding baker, or if you don't need a heavy duty one for normal general baking. I would recommend.

Does everything I hoped for
This is the perfect mixer for when you do not need a big Kitchen Aide. I got this when I was reading a blog about how someone has both this and the top of the line kitchen aide. And their words were fitting when he said more often than not he would just take this one out and use it as it worked well and was far lighter and more compact. I figured since I was not going to be trying to run a bakery out of my kitchen this was the mixer for me. I was a little worried when I got it seeing the size, but this thing has handled everything I have thrown at it. Pretel dought, pizza dough, cookies, all the generic stuff. So if you want a stand mixer but do not plan on trying to open a bakery I highly recommend this one. It is easy to store and light enough to pull out when you need it.

Works great!
I know this isn't a Kitchenaid, but it does the job and has the same mixing action. I was hesitant to buy this, especially when I saw the low star review on here, but then when I looked at what the reviewer had written, it had nothing to do with the product and they didn't even have one. I am glad I looked around to find other reviews. First of all, it depends on what you are looking for. If you want a great mixer that everyone oohs and ahhs over by looking at it, well this isn't the one. Though it is fine to look at, it is plastic and isn't eye candy like the Kitchenaid. It is also much lighter weight, which I appreciate it is easy to move around. It has suction cups that really work well on the base and the unit stays put. It has a plastic casing and doesn't look like it would be sturdy, but I have read a lot of reviews that say it holds up well. One thing that is a slight con, is that it does scratch easily, so be careful if you are storing it somewhere to be gentle with it. So far, I have used it for a lot of things to test it out, and everything mixed well and came out perfect! I have a heavy two beater stand mixer that was expensive and is great to look at, but this mixing style beats that one by far. It mixed everything well and my batters, and royal icing came out lighter and better than ever. Some people have said that it is hard to scrape the sides with this type of mixer, but if you have a spray bottle of water handy, just give a light spritz of the dry ingredients on the side, and they will mix in, no scraping necessary. The performance was great, I am very pleased with it. Even though it isn't as big and heavy as the other mixers, I prefer that actually because it is easier to move around and to store. The size is perfect for me, and my heavy stand mixer is going to be quite lonely. Very pleased, and would buy again.

Great starter stand mixer...
Unless you are a heavy baker, this will suffice just fine. It is not too large. Bowl capacity is good for a small family. The attachments are great. You should hand wash only. The whisk and beater do a great job though. Pretty much read the instruction manual and you will know how to solve some of the issues. I love everything about it, but...it does not love bread type dough. Biscuits are cool but thicker dough it seems to struggle. And you have to make sure that it is suctioned to the counter well to keep it stable during dough mixing. But for small dough recipes it works fine occassionally. Other than that I have made whipped cream, rolls, homemade dumplings and black forest cake with it and its great. Like I said...great starter mixer for the beginner bakers, cooks. Also--there is a caution sticker on the machine about the pinching if not careful where it lifts up and down. But anywho, read the manual to learn how to properly use it.

Handles small portions. Very light in weight. Great value for money!
I had a KitchenAid for a long time, and was quite disappointed with its weight and the fact that it just can't handle small portions (less than a pound of flour is considered small portion). This mixer handles better (though not perfect) small portions. It is also very light in weight and cheaper in price. The most important thing is that it has great results (I used it mainly for bread dough so far). Update: I have used it also for whipping cream, cookie dough and many other things - all came out great. The bowl is easily cleaned (dishwasher safe). Other good things: it has vacuum in the bottom part to have better grip in the surface. It is very stable. Some negatives: The bowl has some marks from one of the attachments (not sure which one). It is not bad but can hint on bad adjustment, maybe. The bowl can be small for some people (it is 3.5 Quart). For us it is good...

Not what I was hoping for
This was my first ever stand mixer, I've always just used a hand mixer. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. First, the bowl width is too small to add anything into the mix unless you stop the machine, lift up the mixer, then pour in the ingredients. That's exactly what my hand mixer did! Also, the mixing paddle has a flat lip to it, so when I did pour flour or milk into the mixing bowl, it landed on top of the paddle instead of inside the bowl. When I lifted the attachment back, flour, milk, etc. made a mess as it landed on the machine or my kitchen counter. The suction cups on the bottom make it so hard to move the unit. Taking off the attachments is nothing short of a workout. And lastly, the paddle attachment did not reach all the way to the bottom to mix up melted butter and cocoa I had previously heated on the stove top. When I finished mixing my frosting and was adding to my cake, there was a thick clump of cocoa stuck to the bottom of the bowl, so little chunks of hardened cocoa made its way in to the frosting instead of being mixed completely. It's overall just a cumbersome messy design and will be sending it back. I wanted to like it very much, but I'm afraid my Kitchen Aid Hand Mixer will do the job much better.

Very Happy with my Hamilton Beach 63326
Just bought this in the last month used a few times now and clearly this is a great product. I've run into no issues, the parts all work. spins good, creates dough well, no issues. only thing I would mention is the opening to add your ingredients a touch smaller than i would have liked but just use alton browns way of adding dry ingredients via a paper plate folded up works great :). Powerful and easy to store and clean. stays in place very well with the suctions cups it has on the bottom. UPDATE: just updating since I last reviewed now gotta be 2 months now. LOVE LOVE LOVE my machine, does everything dough for cookies, bread, stays put and is powerful does the job and Im loving it.

American Power Spec NOT recommended for India
Not sure if this should be sold in India although I was informed by the seller that this appliance has american power specs, I was also told that the power converter is easily available, however I have received my equipment in Nov 15 and have not been able to find a converter that works with this equipment. Hamilton Beech makes good equipment but I would NOT recommend this equipment with American Power specs for use in India (unless the seller can also provide the power converter with the equipment). There is also no warranty on this equipment in India.

Small but good
I think it works great for cakes and whipped cream, haven't tried to make bread dough have a bread maker for that. For smaller jobs its great but dont think it's strong enough for dough . It's only has half the power of my bread maker at 300 watts of power.
