NTE Electronics MRRC440V5/35 Series MRRC Dual Round Motor Run AC Electrolytic Capacitor, Round Aluminum Case, 5/35 µF Capacitance, 5% Tolerance, 440V

This is a very easy AC repair. The leads were clearly marked. The old one was clearly bad because it had plumped up like a Ballpark frank. I watched a few YouTube videos for pointers. I was careful to discharge the old capacitor prior to handling. I also labeled everything before I started removing the wires just to be safe. Not sure where I could by one of these locally, so it was great that Amazon sells them. Every time we have the HVAC people out, we get large bills. My wife was very happy with my repair job. We’ve had a heatwave for the last 2 months and the AC has been working great.UPDATE: The NTE capacitor only lasted 8 years. It died this week during a heatwave. The original capacitor that came with the AC lasted 16 years.

AC conked out just as the heat wave arrived. Got this overnight and had installed same day. AC back on line and things are cool. Thank you for the great service, product quality and price! Saved a bundle not having to call AC repair service.

It's a capacitor, the old one blew up, this fit perfectly in the old slot. I connected it up and the motor started up with no problem. AC works, motor runs, I'm cooler. Yeah!
