Really good personal cooler!
The media could not be loaded. I have read about swamp coolers before and was reasonably skeptical that a small device using only a bit of water could produce cold air. Well, summer heat turned on overnight in Florida so I decided to give this portable air cooler a try. I am impressed. Firstly this is a really compact personal sized device. It can sit on my desk neatly without taking up a lot of room. The instructions are printed on the side of the device, but operation is pretty self explanatory anyway. When I unpacked the cooler, I immediately poured water in to the top of the device as indicated, keeping a close eye on the level indicator on the side. It actually holds a lot of water. I turned it on and immediately chilled air started coming out the vent. As it operates, it is almost as if it “puffs out” cold air every few seconds. If there is no water, then it just blows air like a normal fan. There are three strengths of cooling, and three strengths of blowing and you can also opt to have the cooler stationary or swinging.I liked the fact that it has a power meter so that you know clearly how much charge is left. Out of the box it was 75% charged so I could test it extensively before having to charge it again. Charging is really easy with the enclosed USB cable.Things I liked: Very compact size, chilled air blows out immediately, simple to operate, USB charging. The only initial problem I had (user lack of knowledge, not problem with the device) was not knowing how to empty it. The diagram kept saying do not tip, but the instructions didn’t tell you that the little rubber water indicator actually folds out so you can easily drain the water. I have attached a photo in case it helps someone else. Once I worked it out, draining the water could not be more simple. In fairness, and in hindsight, the instructions on the side do show the spout unfolded, but I didn’t realize what it was telling me to do!I am really impressed by this. For anyone thinking about it, it is a great personal cooler. It’s not going to cool down a large room, but it will make a huge difference sitting on a desk, or a table near where you are sitting for example. It is also lightweight and compact enough to take with you, for example a road trip or beach day.

Don’t waste your time or money.
Easy to operate & it blows out cold air, but even at it’s highest settings it does not move enough air to cool a the space of a canopy on the back of a pick up truck, let alone a bedroom. I was disappointed in mine & returned it.

Okay little device
Loved this product at first. Cooling was great and even better with ice. After two weeks it no longer cools like an air conditioner. I noticed about a week ago that there is no longer mist being emitted from this device (even on 2nd setting snowflake button) which cooled nearly as good as an air conditioner. I'm using distilled water as the ph level is a 7 and there are too many minerals in tap water which is not good for use in any type of device. Perhaps I need to switch to purified water.

Actually produces cool-cold air but moisture is an issue
I have tried larger air coolers before and they did not produce the kind of cool air I got from this little unit. I bought it for a planned power outage which is why I wanted one that ran on battery. It is compact, quiet on "1". It worked with no complicated actions on my part -- other than charge it to the fullest and then pour water into the top of the unit. The air blowing on me immediately felt chilled. I could still feel the air 4 feet away from the unit. Actually any closer it would feel too cold and fabrics get quite damp from the moist air blowing on it--which is the only drawback I can see at this first try. I am quite pleased with it.Now that I have spent some time with this unit, I do find the moist air to be annoying. If I have paper on the desk near the unit, the paper can get damp; my clothes got damp. I devised a moisture guard from a plastic box top that I had saved, cut part of it, and punched a hole on each side of the guard for a long twistie tie to loosely hang on the unit. The tongue of the guard is inserted into the bottom moisture collection slot on the unit. It is a bit bothersome to have to do this. But it is a trade-off for having a battery operated unit. (A unit I also bought at the same time that uses direct current does not present a moisture issue and yet produces cool air).

Not to bad for the price
Works pretty good. Quiet , you do feel the coldness it shoots out when you put cold water. Battery life is really good. Love how it can move back and forth as well. Perfect for someone in there room at a desk or next to your bed I could see it working very well. I may be using this when I go camping in the summer to provide coolness into my tent!

it is not working after 2 years
I bought this product on July 10th, 2021. I was really happy with this fan, I used it quite often during summer time. Today July 19th, it stopped working. It lasted 2 years. It was on and I could not turn it off last night , I just had to let it run until the battery died. I recharged the battery again but it does not turn on anymore.... so sad because I really like it.

I really wanted to love this item.
First of all, this does not cool a room. You have to be in close proximity to the item to feel the effects, which was fine because I wanted it specifically to keep me cool during the night and placed it next to my bed. Secondly, the item did not run off of AC alone. I thought it was defective and ordered a new one and was sent a "refurbished" item. Right out of the box the unit did not turn off of AC.I was willing to overlook that it did not cool a room because I was satisfied with how it worked for my specific need. After discovering it did not run off of AC, I thought it was defective. Now that I received a refurbished unit and it also does not run off of AC, as stated in the description, I now know it is an expensive piece of junk.Although it is easy to use, I gave it a one star due to it not running off of AC as described and I do not believe this item is a value at any cost.

It actually works well
Perfect for the hot dry climate of Arizona. In addition to the cooling function the gentle mist infuses moisture into our motorhome. Easy to use, lightweight and operates on battery power most of the day. A wonderful supplement to the RV AC system. I'm old enough to remember 12V automotive cooling units before air conditioning became "standard" automobiles - the 12V units operated on the same system but were much more cumbersome. Glad I found this unit.
