Great sunscreen, but one of them stopped working out of nowhere and now is useless

Great sunscreen. Was looking for mineral based so I didn't hit myself and my son with a bunch of chemicals every time we go to the lake. It does come out white, you have to barely rub it in. Lasted all day, even with multiple jumps in the water off my paddle board. Never reapplied and did not burn. My kid is a Casper at the start of the season. One application and he was good for a 7 hour adventure on the water.

My family loves Blue Lizard. One of my kids has super light skin, and I take medication that makes me sensitive to the sun, so Blue Lizard has always been THE sunscreen for us. When my last bottle of spray Blue Lizard quit working before it was all gone, I was disappointed but figured it was a fluke. NOPE!!! I used this new bottle only one or two times before it quit working (as in, I sprayed one arm, and then it stopped spraying). The bottle is mostly full, but because I had it on subscribe and save, it arrived back in December, and now it's way too late to return. Blue Lizard is too expensive for me to be throwing out entire bottles. I will not purchase the sprayer again. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

I love Blue Lizard. I have fair skin and have burned my whole life, even when I follow the directions for sunscreen. I heard about this sunscreen and saw that it was higher in price, but I just went for it because not getting burnt would be worth it. I still got a little burnt, but nowhere near as bad as I usually do, and it went in overnight, which never happens. Usually, I just peel. I cannot say enough good things about this sunscreen.

Protects from sunburn, even in Aruba. Easy to spray on and covers well. I like to rub it in after it is sprayed on. It is on the expensive side, but worth it, especially if you like to go in the water.

The sun screen is great but the spray style is not that good. It doesn't spray out consistently, sometimes not enough sun screen comes out. Sun screen itself is light and easy to rub on your skin. Protects me from sun burn. I'll stick with the tube one.

Having tried many spray mineral sunscreens, I would rate this one at the top in terms of sun protection against UVA and UVB rays given its high percentage of zinc oxide, the ease of applying to the skin, as well as applying to my beard, and washing off after use. I have used the sensitive version in lotion form, which I also rate highly, but it can be difficult to apply to my beard and be difficult to wash off. This spray version does leave a white cast similar to its lotion version. The nozzle is similar to other sunscreens out on the market. This sunscreen does have a scent to it, despite indicating it does not. For 5 fl. oz., the sunscreen is priced high. UPDATE 05/19/2022: I still recommend this sunscreen, as it received an excellent rating from the EPA in terms of UVA/UVB protection. The downsides to this sunscreen is that it goes on VERY WHITE, much whiter than the lotion form, it also is runny which means that the sunscreen will begin to run down wherever you have applied it and will seep into your eyes, including when you wash it off your face in the shower/sink. Because of this, it is not ideal to use this sunscreen if going into the water.

I originally picked this up with my kiddo in mind, but I’ve ended up using it just as much myself, haha! I’m usually not a big fan of sunscreens in general because I often find them greasy or overly fragrant, but this really surprised me. When I first used it, I actually thought it wasn’t dispensing properly because it was so dry and subtle, but it went on evenly and absorbed quickly with almost no scent, no sticky residue, and barely any rubbing needed. Despite how light it feels on the skin, it protected both of us perfectly during a few hours at the beach, even in the water, no sunburns at all, which is a great test. I also really like the locking top, you just twist it to lock, which gives peace of mind when tossing it in a beach bag or backpack. It’s compact, portable, and just plain works well. I’m definitely grabbing another bottle next time. Would recommend, parent and kiddo approved!
