This is functionally identical to the Kuhn Rikon version at half the price. It would be 5 stars if it was as well made. Unfortunately the fit and finish is worse across the board and a couple of important parts where the force is concentrated are thinner than they are in the KR version. If you want this style of garlic press, this one is a deal at $30 but I wonder if it will hold up as well as the original long term.

You will never regret buying it. It is easily the best press I have used. This is a bittersweet review as this is the best garlic press in the entire world. It’s been in my mind to invent an all stainless steel pressed garlic press (made from pressed stainless sheet) after trying so many inferior quality presses over last 15 years. Cast products turn black in the dishwasher, plastic handles break over time and chrome finish comes off. This press should last forever provided it’s made with the correct stainless alloy. Kudos to the inventor. Only suggestion is to eliminate the weld as it’s the only weak point in the whole design. You could punch the end of the welded lever and insert the dowel through. No need for a weld. Great product !

Got it the next day. The product is sturdy and is made of high quality stainless steel. Easy to use as expect. Only small issue is that it's not as easy to clean as I hoped, but I think it's a common drawback on manual operated garlic mincers, so can't really complain.

I bought this for my sister for Christmas and tried it myself recently. It works! It's a little tricky to clean because the rest of the garlic that isn't squeezed through gets stuck in the trap but considering it takes care of the chopping, I'd say it's worth it.
