Hipshot KickAss High-mass Bass Bridge for 5-bolt Fender, Gold

This is the original bridge used on the Sire V10dx bass, which I bought as a spare bridge (yeah, I'm like that...lol). Hipshot KickAss High-mass bridges are awesome, and if you're having any issues on your 5-bolt Fender-style bass and you like/need gold hardware, this is the bridge for you. Easy to adjust, great sustain. Can't say enough good things about Hipshot.

I’ve always resisted high mass bridges because I wanted to keep everything “vintage”. I ended up getting this bridge because I was switching to gold hardware on one of my basses. I couldn’t find a vintage style gold bridge that I liked. Since the rest of the hardware had already been swapped out, I admitted defeat and took a chance. Tone-wise, I really don’t hear a difference but as far as fine tune adjustments, there is nothing better than this bridge. Also, the smooth and streamlined fit and finish are second to none. No saddle screws or sharp edges digging into your hand. And I will admit, it looks very cool.

Excellent build, however, the screws are not gold or bras, but black. I used brass screws (same size), polished on a wheel and sprayed with clear coat. Still looks great.

High price.

It is the most a justable bridge I ever saw barring none ! Great build quallity and man it makes for a super easy intoneation !!! I love it and you will too.

Everything you want in a bass bridge

This bridge is a great replacement! Direct fit on an old BC Rich platinum series, the mounting hole measurements are easily available to see if it will be a direct swap for you as well. Tons of adjustability available over stock!

Of the 5 bass guitars I own, 3 of them now have hipshot high mass bridges. You cannot go wrong with this bridge. It looks cool and offers a good sound. I am also happy with how easy it is to adjust the string length and saddle height without having to loosen the saddle like some aftermarket bridges.
