We recently got a collie pup and I know how important early socialisation is, especially for sensitive collies. So whilst waiting for the all clear after the jabs, I wanted to make sure we got out and about as much as possible whilst keeping the little guy safe. Pups grow fast too so I wanted something with the space for him to feel comfortable for the following weeks and this seemed to fit the bill.Size wise, this is really good for medium puppies (collies, spaniels, etc), he still fitted at 12 weeks. So that was good, although it was quite heavy by the end!But the design has issues. First the straps don’t go short enough. I’m not especially skinny, just average, and I found the straps just didn’t go tight enough to provide support for the weight up front.The “floor” of the bag also offers no support for the pup, it just slopes down so the little guy ended up squished against the front of the material. It looks like a sort of shelf in the pictures but the design has no way to support the shape.The biggest issue is the material it’s made of. Now I get that this was a cheaper bag so I wasn’t expecting the best, but this isn’t breathable for the purpose and my poor pup got quite hot and seemed glad to get out for a drink after a short time. It does have mesh areas but they fit really wok once the bag sags due to the lack of support again. You certainly couldn’t use it for a longer trip out without risking your puppy overheating.On the plus side, it is easy to load your pup in to it, and there is an internal strap to hook on to the collar to add an extra layer of safety. It would be very hard for a dog to jump out.If you are looking for something for short trips, just to get your little one used to the big, scary world, this will do the job. But if you want to go for longer walks our, I’d think again.

I bought this for my new cocker spaniel puppy who we got at eight weeks old. I wanted to be able to take him out to give him experiences of noise ahead of putting him on a lead, however I only used this twice as I didn't like him being on my back as I couldn't see him, so I wore it front facing, but the weight was a killer on my back.Now as a six month old pup there is no way I could carry him around so to be honest, it was a bit of a waste of money for two uses.

I’ve got a small dog Jack Russell miniature pincher but needed a large medium to small

We were worried our chihuahuas little legs would give up on holiday this summer so we got her this bag, strapped it onto our 8 yr old and popped the dog in. Everyone was very happy.

I got this for my Cavalier King Charles. We go out on treks through the woods and her energy levels vary day today so some days I had to carry her back which is awkward to do. She's hated other pet bags but is happy as anything in this one.It's big enough and sturdy enough for her at 6.4kg. Love the colour and the extra pockets.The only issue I've had is the straps tend to extend when she's in it due to the weight. So I've had to knot the extra lengths just under the adjuster to stop that from happening. Otherwise pretty happy with it. We're looking at getting a second pup once she's older and it looks like this will hold up long enough for her to she too.

I bought this as had an elderly terrier tear a ligament- I had a smaller one and the straps came adrift so bought the next size up (assumed his weight was a player) just after the months return I noticed the straps fraying again- unable to do anything about it due to the time scale. It did the job for when it was needed but sad that was 2 bags in 14 weeks where the straps gave way. Everything else is really good- the dog is very happy and comfortable in it. He feels safe enough, just a shame about the straps going and giving way!!

Good sturdy backpack but it's been used before. Scratch marks on the bottom and white fur stuck all over it. I understand maybe their dog didn't like it but I bought it for a puppy who hasn't yet had his full vaccines yet...

Was ti big for my pup, but is well made and looked easy to clean, plenty of space/pockets for poo bags etc.
