Great GPU at a REALLY Great Price...and it handles VR LIKE A DREAM!!!
Great Nvidia GPU at a REALLY Great Price!!! The main reason i bought this card was because me and my son were building a MSI computer for him. We tried to get everything MSI branded and color schemed so everything matched. And it also has the Mystic Light capability built in to it, so that was a plus. Now the performance is really awesome, and I always go for Nvidia when i do game cards, and this GPU does not disappoint at all!!! He can play his games on basically the highest level and there is no jittering and the frame rate is great. The card stays cool, and i believe that is because the MSI tech they use, Twin Frozr, is above and beyond most cooling fans. It is REAL quiet also, which is really great. I also bought this card because it is VR Ready, so we are covered there for when we decide to jump in the VR Gaming craze. Another reason i bought this card is because it is the same type of GPU chipset i have in my laptop, and it runs great!!! Installation was easy and painless, and there was no trouble while doing the installation. I like that it came with stickers to put on the computer case as well...now we can boast about what is part of the powerhouse inside. UPDATE: Better With VR -Its been a bit over 6 months now since we installed this card in the MSI build me and my son did. It is STILL kicking butt and taking names!!! One of the reason we got this card was because it was VR ready, and let me tell you, we have gone VR and have a Occulus Rift that we can use on his machine with this card, AND IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT AT ALL!!! We have 3 PC's in the house that use the Rift, but this card uses it most of the time, so it gets the most play time with it. It still stays cool, NEVER LOUD, and no lag at all!!! I would tell everyone to buy this card for their new setup without any hesitation, because well...it WORKS SO GOOD!!!

Better than other products I tried
I had originally purchased an ASUS GTX 1060 6GB since I was told that they made good products, but I found that when it arrived some of the ports were broken and that it felt really flimsy, so I returned it. I then saw that this card was cheaper than the ASUS one (about $20-$30 cheaper) and had a rebate with it as well as being Amazon's choice for the GTX 1060 series graphics cards. So I looked at the reviews and saw many good things about it and decided to order it. It arrived a few days later and I found right off the bat that the packaging was way better; the box was way sturdier, and it actually shipped in a second box unlike the ASUS one that arrived in its original packaging. After opening it I found that the user manual was also better than the ASUS one, this one told you the recommended tools and everything whereas the ASUS one basically just said to install it in the computer and put the CD in. Once I got to the card my first thought was, WOW this is a beast of a graphics card and began inspecting it to make sure there was no damage during shipping, the first thing I noticed was that this one came with plastic port protectors to prevent damage to any connections unlike the other. The next thing I noticed was that on the bottom side of the card it had a shield to protect the sensitive electronics underneath unlike the other card that just had all of the bare resistors showing. I then looked at the casing on the card and found that it was made of better quality materials and felt super sturdy. After I finished inspecting and comparing it to the other card I began installing it, the installation was a breeze and took only about 20 minutes to completely install the card and all of the drivers I needed. So far I haven’t run into any problems with the card and have been able to play any game on the highest video settings as well as being able to make complex animations and models in programs such as Autodesk Maya and Cinema 4D. Overall I would recommend this card to anyone because of its quality and ease of installation.

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!! AWESOME MID-HIGH TIER GRAPHICS CARD
Wow, just.... WOW~! This GPU is wonderful. I've had it for one day now and I've played every game I own with it and I cannot express how much of a difference it has made compared to my previous cards which I had Crossfired. I'm getting 10-20 frames per second more than what I used to get and not only that, but the thermals of this card keep my computer nice and cool instead of turning it into a heater. I have a Thermaltake Tower 900 so the airflow is not as optimal as other cases, but this card has extremely low temps, even under load, so it helps keep my big box nice and cool by not getting as hot as some cards on the market. Now, I cannot say that it was decently priced, but for the money, it is totally worth it in my book. Grade A product MSI, THANK YOU! Any person considering a graphics card right now, look no further... I researched every single graphics card currently out on the market and I chose this one because it was in my budget, and it offers a lot for what you are paying. MSI makes great products and this card is a great example. OKAY, TIME FOR THE PROS AND CONS PROS: 1. Overclocked. 2. Low temps under load. 3. Aestetically pleasing. 4. RGB CONS: 1. RGB is limited to the msi logo only. 2. thats it, its a great card, haha.

A very good player...
This card is fantastic... where do i start?... for anyone looking for a decent graphics card is, this dude games great you won't regret it if you buy it. First off, the card is much bigger than it looks in the pictures, luckily my tower had no problems for room, i specifically purchased a tower to accommodate my Gigabyte 960 4GB 3 fan G1 card so it fit with room to spare. However, i would advise anyone wanting this card to make certain you have the room for it in your case, I'm sure most of you already know that. It's not as long as my Gigabyte card but it's very close, and it's wide, quite the card indeed. I like my 960, it does a decent job for gaming, but after firing this feller up, i'd bet it's nearly twice the card as the 960 is. In Crysis 3 with everything cranked up to max settings, the game played with absolutely no lag, got average 55 to 60 fps easily, even more at times, but I can only see 60 fps from MSI afterburner and I had vertical sync turned on due to my not so high priced monitor. For any potential buyers looking for a 1060, do yourself a huge favor and save up if you have to, but get this 6GB version, do NOT get the 3GB version card, there's quite a bit of difference with the 6GB card, a lot of the newer games are becoming Vram hogs so you're gonna need the 6GB version if you plan on gaming for recent and future games.

Great mid-level graphics card, plays most titles @60fps, high settings with ease
Fantastic mid-level gaming graphics card. I'm not a hardcore gamer and don't keep up with all the current games/hardware but recently I've been itching to get back into gaming/PC building. It's been 10 years since I've last built a custom PC and this card has performed for needs with ease. I spent a lot of time (past 6 months) look at different hardware for my build and I settled on this card for now. It can play most games are 60fps with high settings and the fans are dead quiet! Most people don't need a better graphics card to be honest and if you look at reviews, comparisons, guides, etc they will all says cards in this range sell more than the higher end cards such as the 1080. This a great GPU for the price, looks aesthetically pleasing, and has a quality build to it

MSI is a trusted brand, here is my thoughts on this vs a close competitor card
My experience with the 1060 line of cards is: 2 x MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X6's. 1 Gigabyte Xtreme 1060 First off, the 1060s seem to be under rated from the factory. Making them easily overclockable. CASUAL OVERCLOCKING RESULTS: ------------------------------------------------------------- 1: Gigabyte Extreme GTX 1060: $279 ------------------------------------------------------------- Base Clock of 1620 mhz with a boost of 1873 mhz. Overclocked itself to 2025 mhz out of the box. OC'd manually to 2212 mhz with MSI Afterburner, as far as I could go before artifacts present ------------------------------------------------------------- 2.MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X6: $259 -------------------------------------------------------------- Base Clock of 1569 mhz with a boost of 1809 mhz. Overclocked itself to 2000 mhz out of the box. OC'd manually to 2200 mhz with MSI Afterburner, and I feel I could have gone further, Just stopped because not much more to prove.Only changed core clock numbers! ____________________________________ Both of these cards performed amazingly in my 2 systems: The Gigabyte 1060 is in an Intel I5 6600k / Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 Motherboard, 16gb DDR4 3000, SSD, AIO Corsair The MSI 1060 is in an Intel I5 7600k / MSI Z270 SLI Plus Motherboard, 16gb DDR4 3000, SSD, AIO Corsair These systems were near identical... Both graphics cards are extremely quiet with a custom fan curve, with neither of them push more that 47C at load. So much more room to go! Both Intel CPUs never pushed past 54C (I5 7600k Kabylake) and 40C (I5 6600k SkyLake) respectively. Thoughts: Both cards perform fantastic in an optimal setting. For example, both 1060s (and an RX480) bottleneck roughly 20+ FPS with my FX6300 Build. Frame rates not near as smooth in the AMD FX 6300 Build. (I love AMD, I am not a fan boy of either AMD or INTEL) ---------------------------------------------------------- Gigabyte Xtreme 1060 PROS: -Rock Solid company / Great looking card / over performs / silent fans (nothing like the windforce Gigabyte fans / highest core clock of all 1060s available out of the box. LEDs and LED software are perfect. ---------------------------------------------------------- Gigabyte Xtreme 1060 CONS: - Takes up 3 slots / Sleeve Bearing Fans / Perhaps the orange accent stripes / VR HDMI's located on back of video card internally. (WTF) --------------------------------------------------------- MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X6 PROS: - Rock Solid company / Ball Bearing fans / Subjectively nice looking design / over performs / higher than normal factory overclock, huge dual fans and quiet ---------------------------------------------------------- MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6 CONS: -Outdated cosmetic design looks like any card from 2011, Red plastics are different shades of red / RGB on side logo only ----------------------------------------------------------- SIDE NOTE: In my FX 6300 Build, I had an EVGA GTX 1070 FTW. Though the card put out decent frame rates even bottle necked with the AMD, it suffered in many games that the 2 1060 cards do not. I do not know how to explain this other than the FX chip being the bottle neck. GTA V is the only game that the 1070 did better in...and even that based of smooth game play could be debatable. I think the key here is to match your system with equal parts. No need for a Ferrari if you are only going to go 70 mph, know what I'm saying?

Great card, I'm more than impressed.
It was between this and the ATI 480 8gb, and after reading reviews and seeing benchmarks, my mind was set on this card. The con is that Nvidia decided to revoke the possibility for SLI with this card. Other than that, she's gorgeous and runs like a truck! The RGB lighting is amazing. The card itself keeps incredibly cool. If you have windows not set to run in performance mode, this GPU runs the way it should from the factory, meaning, the clock doesn't shoot up to 1500+ mhz until graphical power is in demand. Otherwise, you'll run the card at max power all day long. That being said, the fans only come on at 60 degrees anyway. The card stays well under 60 even during heavy gaming sessions, let me tell you. Crysis 3, CSGO, League, Doom... nothing I throw at it will make it run any higher than 60, most times a few degrees below 60. If you're deciding between this card and any other... your only concern should be SLI. If you want dual gfx cards, go for a 1070 or 480. If you only care to run one card, this will do all you need it to and more.
