I had never heard of Alleyoop but saw something about them with good reviews so I searched here on Amazon. Love, love, love, these - the colors I ordered are Baby Pearl (good for lid or under brow), Victory Blush, a soft pink pearly finish that I love on my eyelids, and Plum Up, very soft plumy, purpley, shade - I use in crease and outer eye or alone on eyelid. I can’t tell you ow many palettes I’ve tried recently - $78 - $8 (Covergirl plum palette is very good too - but the sticks are SO convenient to use) These Alleyoop eyeshadow sticks go on very smoothly - better than Thrive and way better than Julep which I found hard to apply. It’s 9:30 as I type this and did my makeup at 7:30 am - still looks good! I do use a primer and an all over setting spray, but even when I just slap these on, the color stays and I can deepen the Plum up for evening if I have to. I mean I have really tried hard to find the look I want. I’ve returned some and have kept others but these are definitely keepers.

The color payoff isn't quite what I had expected or hoped for, but this is otherwise a very nice eye crayon. It applies very smoothly and is easy to blend if you do so before it sets. It's buildable, but be aware that rather than getting deeper copper color, you'll get more metallic shine with more layers. I have sensitive skin and allergies and had no problem with wearing this, even at the waterline. I use it as a base under a matte shadow when I want to add some depth, as I don't care for full-on shine. For that reason I wouldn't buy this exact color again, but overall the item is good quality and worth the price if these features are what you're looking for!

I have bought many different eyeshadow sticks. My favorite is It Cosmetics but I have tried Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, ELF, and a couple more random ones. I thought I would try this brand because it was just a little bit cheaper than my favorite. First, I saw reviews saying how tiny the Alleyoop sticks are. As I said, I have bout many different brands. These are only every so slightly smaller than them, maybe 1/4". When you look at the makeup itself, it looks like Alleyoop is the same size within the smaller packaging. Considering they were about $5 cheaper than It Cosmetics, i think any size difference is not a big deal. The colors of the two I bought are beautiful. The formula goes on very smoothand you can build it up. It does not dry down quickly like It or Bobbi Brown sticks do. With that being said, I do not find them to be particularly long wear. At the end of maybe 8 hours, the eyeshadow had creased and worn off in places. I never found the Alleyoop formula to dry down at all. I tried them on several occasions. One day after about 2 hours of wear I ran my dry finger across my eyelid and the makeup rubbed right off. I think the formula is soft and the color is pretty but if you are looking for waterproof or long wear, I would skip these and spend the $5 more to get any of the other higher end brands.

I highly recommend this product. I haven't had good luck with cream eyeliners or eyeshadows in the past. However this does not make my eyelids feel like they are on fire or heavy and I do have sensitive eyes. I loved the color of this product. It looked really great on my eyes which are more of a Hazel green color. Occasionally they look brown. Depending on what I'm wearing. I will try to edit this review after I use the eyeshadow cream next time so you can see how it looks. I thought it was very easy to use. Does not run or melt. Stays on consistently for at least 8 hours. There were lots of colors to choose from which was awesome! Basically I highly recommend this. Very creamy, blends easily, and the color was exactly what I wanted. It doesn't always work out that way - picking a shade based on the internet photos can be hit and miss. I chose taupe and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm not yet sure how well it lasts, so I cannot speak to that aspect. If this performs well over time, I would love to pick up more shades.
