Interesting…
I’m glad I finally decided to go back and read the books on how it all began. I always wondered about Khiann and his nature and I always felt like Annani hid a lot about her past from Kian and her other children. I don’t know why though.Anyway, it was good to see what kind of person he was, and also Gulan/Wonder. It was also good to see the reasoning behind Esag’s proposal as well. I think the next book gives us insight into Areana, which I am also looking for way to.See my notes and highlights on Goodreads. Happy reading!

Love it!
Finally, Annani's and Khiann's story. I'm not sure these required two books, but I enjoy them nonetheless. There are a few tiny discrepancies coming up, I think, but for the most part this book perfectly reflects the past as seen in the Children of the Gods books. It is just awesome to see this truelove match unfold!

OMG! Perfect!
I have read through Book 60 now in the Children of the Gods series. Every time someone has told Annanni's story, the story of love, of Mordth and the demise of the gods I wished there was a book about! I wanted to hear the whole story from Annanni's and Khiann's perspective! To meet Gulan (Wonder) as she was then. To see the other gods that have been mentioned. I wanted that story in my mind as I follow the series so when one of Annanni's descendants told the story again I had a better understanding and appreciation for it! I was not disappointed! Beautifully written and well thought out book, and characters! Cant wait to read Book 2!

These are the absolute best!
I’ve read all the 44 books in the other series and at 1st it seemed strange to be reading about the beginnings but I quickly got over that. I love series that continue allowing me to follow the characters and you’ve created amazing plots and a story line that can continue indefinitely I hope. I also love the fact that with this book and all the others the characters are in each book, sure the new books have different main characters to tell their stories but you included everyone which is the most enjoyable, of course along with fabulous writing. I am not good at writing reviews so this really encompasses all your books. That said, this one and book 2 are a different series and you are the 1st author that I have liked all the books and I read A LOT. It’s realistic for being not real, you present the emotions and actions of your characters in a good believable way that’s not over done or corny, it makes me wish for a love like your characters have found which I never thought was possible.Thank you

Interesting
I liked it! It wasn’t bad at all! At times I found her acting kind of childish, but I had to remind myself that she was still very young. But all in all it was a very interesting beginning. It held my interest from beginning to end. I’m very interested to see how everything will work out in the next book. Morthd has got to go! Guy is no good at all! Plus I need to find out what’s going to happen to Gulan. Like come on I need to know she is going to get her happy ending! So on to the next one!!Happy reading!! 🖤🖤

How the clan began!
This was great! After 18 books, we finally get the whole back story as to how it all began. Annani, being a spoiled, but kind and beautiful 17 year old goddess, has no intention of being married off to a god of her father’s choosing, even if it might stave off a war amongst the gods. She knows he has no interest in her except to ascend the throne when her father steps down. She is in love with her ‘true mate’, Khiann, and, since their laws state that she can choose a true mate over a match, she does so. Thus setting off the chain of events that resulted in the division of the gods - Annani and her clan, dedicated to the enlightenment and advancement of the human race and Mortdh, who believes that humans (and women, in general) are inferior and made to serve and breed. My daily prayers to the gods are for Annani!!I still find it fascinating that the ‘gods’ seem to be just another race of beings from ‘elsewhere’. It would be great to hear about THAT backstory. Especially why a group of immortal beings (with an intense! libido) found it necessary to instill into their bodies a way to addict their partners to themselves by the venom they inject with a bite during sex. I hope to hear more about this in between the rest of the current day stories!

This is the back story behind an amazing series!
I have read each book, but Goddesses Choice gives me the story behind the series ... it has helped me with putting the books in a brand new light! After reading Goddess's Hope, I'm going to reread them all! Thanks Isabelle!

A very interesting fantasy
This was my first book by this author & very different from what I usually read. That being said, I could tell this author is talented with words & I can recommend this to adult fans of fiction.

I didn’t love this book but I liked it
I did give three stars at the time I finished the book and now I’ve just changed to 4*. I have not changed my mind about the book, the story of the female lead, Annani, The Goddess, seems very rushed, the character seems undeveloped but when you will start reading The Children Of The Gods, you will understand why it’s so: when or what the Goddess wants, The Goddess gets. I give the benefit of doubt to the author 🙂😘❤️On the other hand, Gulan’s story is much better even though in the big series it doesn’t take more than three books while the Goddess is in every book. This book is primer for The Children Of The Gods series so if you think to start reading it, this book is a must even though is not a 5* book. I finished the book 48 of The Children Of The Gods series a couple of days ago and now I’m having withdrawals symptoms and I’m thinking to start reading the whole series again until the book 49 will be out. ✌️❤️

Tame
I didn't know what to expect from this book as I'm not family with the author but although the book was good I thought it was a little tame
