Excellent product! Great for all poultry!
Excellent product. Yes you could probably make similar yourself for less, but these were well made and easy to install. Installed the feeder low to keep our guineas out of the bantam crumbles, and installed the guineafowl feeder high to keep their higher protein crumbles (mostly) out of bantam reach. Love the cup drinkers, no issue whatsoever with them. Easy to use and keep clean. Have them installed inside our coop because they are no mess, and it helps to keep any pests/vermin from being attracted for snacks. Totally worth the price and would absolutely purchase more. (thinking of getting more of the feeders for grit and scratch. Love them! Note: does not affix to smaller hardware cloth without the use of the included metal brackets. Went to Home Depot and got some washers and screws to attach the brackets to the hardware cloth, then decided to just mount them inside the coop instead and used the brackets to mount to the wall. :) Feb 2918 Update: Still loving our feeder and waterer. Didn’t use the waterer in freezing temps, but aside from that still no issues, and we find our birds much prefer these blue tongued lubing cups to nipple drinkers and the yellow tongued cups (which require the birds to peck the yellow bit to release water - my bantams couldn’t/wouldn’t do it). The blue tongue floats and water is always in the cups, chickens don’t have to peck anything. Love these!

Best feeder & waterer I have found
I tried several other types of feeders & waterers but had a hard time keeping them clean due to the chickens scratching litter into them or pooping on them. There was a lot of wasted feed because of that and sometimes there were so many pine shavings in the water it's a wonder they could get a drink. I was constantly cleaning things out. When I got this set I was skeptical and at first couldn't find anywhere to hang it. I have two coops attached together but there was no place to attach the brackets. I didn't want to cut the hardware cloth. What I did instead was cut 4 pieces of sturdy wire to feed through the mesh to make loops where the hangers are, keeping them loose enough on the inside of the coop that I can lift the units out to clean and just hang them back when finished. Everything stays clean and there is no waste. The coop roof where these are installed raises, so I can refill without taking them out. I'm really happy with these & the chickens seem to be as well.

Very nice, but worried about water intruding
These are easy to assemble and install. Very sturdy and will withstand rowdy chickens. The only concern I have is there is a gap between the hood and the pipe which could allow water to flow down the pipe into the cups where the feed eventually lands. It has not rained very hard here so I am not sure if this will be an issue or not, but I can't see where it won't be at least a small issue.

Worth Every Penny, pays for itself with no wasted food-We LOVE these & so do our hens!
If you have backyard chickens then you MUST get this set. I recently adopted 4 hens from a client in March 2016. I was as "green" as they get and new nothing of raising backyard chickens to provide eggs for our family. Needless to say, it's been a rather steep learning curve. I originally had the traditional metal feeder, open top, food spilling all over the place around the bottom. Anyone who has watched chickens eat knows they literally throw food around with their beaks with enough force to launch pellets, crumble, grain, or whatever, 2' from their feeder. I was skeptical and the cost was a bit to wrangle with, but I took the plunge and ordered these and I can't begin to tell you how glad I am that I bought these. I do wish they had screw on tops with handles though. I can personally attest to the effectiveness of the feeder, there is literally nothing on the ground below it. The hood protects the food from the weather and we have since bought 3 more of these feeders and installed them around our urban backyard as our hens free-range every day and neglect to eat the well-balanced organic pellet food we buy for them if it's not right in front of them. Since we don't have a farm or ranch they don't get enough nutrients and protein from free-ranging as they tend to eat a lot of grass, so making high quality pellets available to them around the backyard was essential to their health and egg production. These are super easy to install, easy to clean and refill. Worth every penny! I will never use a traditional feeder again.

Pricey, but well worth it- no lost food, no rats....no mess.
I tried a few different feed and watering systems. I hated the mess my hens made, which were attracting mice yuck! so.. read the reviews, and decided to bite the bullet. So well worth it. I thought my 2 hens were eating tons, but in reality, they hardly eat at all- they were just spilling food all over. I was refilling my old feeder frequently. This tube of food now lasts forever! Granted my hens are spoiled, I let them out daily to free range a bit, and I throw them a handful each of birdseed, meal worms, kale or other greens, and a small bowl of yogurt ,and some popcorn..so maybe they are eating a bit, but not too much of their food. They also eat bugs etc when they free range. This tube lasts for many weeks- for my two anyway!. I can now leave for a few days at a time, and not worry about food of water. I also have a metal watering system that sits on a heater for winter. But this one is still nice, and stays a bit cleaner too.

5/5 For Waterer 3/5 For Feeder
I LOVE the waterer! It makes filling water in the coop so easy but just taking the garden hose up to the side of the coop, popping the top off, and filling it up! I just wish they weren’t so dang expensive or I would have 10 of them! The feeder is good but not great. Somehow it gets water in it, I’ve yet to pinpoint how it gets in the tube part but it does and the feeder gets caked in there and isn’t easy to clean out. After the last clean out I never put it back up. I wish I could exchange it for another waterer but it’s a good concept that just needs improvement!

Good quality waterer but feeder doesn’t work with crumbles
I bought two feeder/waterer sets. I’ve used Royal Rooster waterers in the past and liked them because they don’t take up much space, are easy to mount, easy to fill, and easy to add ice to on hot summer days. I do recommend at least rinsing them out daily to keep grunge from growing on the cup. I had no problems with leaks, but one of the waterers was difficult to screw the cup assembly into the bottom of the waterer. I changed this review to 3 stars because the information that came with the shipment advised against crumbles in the feeder because crumbles apparently don’t feed down the tube to the feed tray properly and tend to clog up the tube. I don’t remember seeing this caveat when I ordered, but since my chickens eat crumbles exclusively, the feeder will not be a good choice for me. Obviously a disappointment, but maybe I should’ve known.

Very cool looking feeder and waterer set
These look awesome installed. They are mounted vertically, which keeps them up off the ground and saves space. They are easy to install with the hardware that is provided and the chicks dig them too. They immediately figured out how to use both the feeder and the waterer. Best of all, no more crumble spilled all over the ground or poop in their water. We live in a pretty humid area, and have not had any trouble with the chick/grower crumbles clumping up or getting stuck. The little water bowls “magically” fill with fresh, clean water (as shown in the attached picture). They do accumulate a little bit of dirt from the chicks’ beaks over time but the whole thing is super easy to clean. No problems with water leaking. We’ve had both the feeder and waterer installed for about a month’s time, so cannot comment on longevity but so far, so good. Super pleased with this set, and even bought a second feeder as each only accommodates two chickens at a time. We are first-time urban, backyard chicken raisers, so we do not have a ton of space. We have to keep the chicks inside their coop/run 24/7, so these are especially great because they are space saving, easy to use, easy to refill, easy to clean, and look fantastic. A huge upgrade for our chicken setup!! They are super fancy, but at the same time, really functional!! Highly recommend this set.

This is an amazing product. My girls were wasting so much food, i was also worried that the food left on the floor would attract rats and other vermin. putting it together was easy, although hubby did not help. He is an engineer and very good at carpentry so he found it easy to put up. However after putting it together, he told me the water nipple part wasn’t working. He informed me the mechanism was broken. I started the returns process with Amazon. I took another look at it myself, to find a wayward screw had found it’s way under the ‘tongue’ part stopping it working. my husbands reply was that he ‘over engineered’ the problem haha I love this , and it will pay for itself in no time as i’m not longer wasting food. highly recommend

Excellent quality-annoying to clean from algae and snail snot
I purchased 4 of each …don’t use anymore-snail snot is annoying. Toothbrush cleaning the water should be actioned once a week. Sunlight gets thru the tube part too. Difficult to clean.

really good.
I like these. Great way to keep mess down. I have been trialing these as well as traditional feeders in my chooks coup. The chooks seem to gravitate toward the traditional feeder and no doubt they prefer the traditional style but I am going to slowly remove them, so they just have these. These are a good system and well worth the price. I was hesitant on spending it because it just seems like a bit of pipe. Once I received them and utilised them I didn't feel ripped off. Easy to clean, easy to fit etc. Not sure what the life span of the water spout bit is but apart from that it all seems like it will last for a very long time.
