This belt is perfect for powerlifting/strongman training and is comfortable once you get used to it. It works well for men with smaller waists and is not too thick, but is sturdy and will not break on you. I’ve had it for 6 months and it shows no signs of wear and tear.

I ordered the Hawk Sports Single Prong Powerlifting Belt (Medium) based on the sizing guide in the listing, which states: • Medium: 32"–38" waist My waist measurement around the navel is 31 inches (see image), so this size should have fit easily according to the chart. When the belt arrived, it was far too small to even reach the first hole. This wasn’t a minor difference in fit, the belt was completely impossible to buckle. To verify the issue, I: • Re-measured my waist (31") • Measured the belt itself • Took photos showing the belt cannot reach the first notch • Measured the belt diameter on the first hole at roughly 8 inches across, which corresponds to a circumference dramatically smaller than the advertised waist range I returned the belt assuming it was simply a manufacturing mistake. Unfortunately, the replacement belt sent by the same seller was identical and had the exact same problem, which suggests the issue is with the sizing information on the listing rather than a one-off defect. Important context for lifters For a powerlifting belt sized correctly, someone with a waist measurement near the lower end of the size range should normally be able to buckle the belt somewhere near the middle holes, allowing room to tighten or loosen depending on how aggressively they brace during a lift. In this case, with a 31" waist and a belt advertised for 32–38", I should have had multiple holes available. Instead, I couldn’t even reach the first hole. Material / build Even if it had fit, the belt was extremely stiff and difficult to close, and the material quality did not feel consistent with what I would expect from genuine leather. Customer service Customer service did not acknowledge the sizing issue. The replacement belt was exactly the same size with no explanation. Recommendation Because the belt cannot be worn by someone within the advertised waist range, the sizing chart appears misleading. Buyers should be very cautious relying on the measurements listed. Request to Amazon Given that the sizing information appears to be incorrect and results in a completely unusable product, I strongly encourage Amazon to review the sizing chart on this listing and require the seller to correct it before more customers purchase the wrong size.
