Beats the astro mix amp!
Ok so this thing is the Swiss army knife of mix amps. Works on pc, ps5, xbox one series x, switch, mobile pretty much everything! The ability to just change all the equaliser's on the fly! The surround sound is so immersive, being able to change the bass and treble with the spin of a small dial.. fantastic! It also smashes the astro a40 mixamp. I was a huge astro fan since the early 2000's I still run the astro headset but I use the GC7 and I swear it's just fantastic. Anyway it's a 15/10 if you are thinking about this mixamp DO IT! You won't regret it :-)

Fantastic after a software update
The 7.1 surround marketing is worse than just a gimmick and actually destroys game sound. When I first received this, I loaded up YouTube music, and was impressed with the clarity albeit with a fairly low max volume - even when set to high gain. The next day I then tried a couple games, and when the mode is set to 7.1 or 5.1 and the audio quality is windows is set to the maximum for this device (24 bit) and there is a lot going on in the game then you hear a lot of crackling sound. For example: DCS World, if you start up and you are on an airfield by yourself, the audio sounds great during the entire experience. As soon as you repeat this but with multiple aircraft all near each other, it's as though the multiple audio sources confuse the GC7 and the sounds become corrupt. This also happens in other games (not all). Will be returning.A software update actually fixed all of my previous issues. SO if you are having these issues, simply update.

works, but lacks quality for the price
Given its expensive price and the Sound Blaster brand's reputation, I had high expectations for the Creative Sound Blaster GC7. The unit itself is sturdy and well-built, and setup was simple. For streamers and gamers who want instant control over audio settings, the programmable buttons and dials are a great feature. But I was a little let down by the audio quality. Compared to other DAC/amps in the same price range, the sound was a little muted and lacked the clear clarity I had hoped for. I put it to the test with both music and games, and the results just fell short of expectations.I was expecting much better audio performance for the money, but it's not a bad product—it works, and some people could find the features interesting. You might want to look at other options in this price range if sound quality is your top concern.

Check headphones are compatibility with SX-FI
Fantastic Product, made a huge difference in sound quality compared to onboard sound chip.My only bugbear is that there aren't enough compatibility headphones (as of yet), for other brands with use of SX-FI, but overall a solid Bang for ya Buck, purchase

Decent, But Underwhelming for the Price
I had high hopes for the Creative Sound Blaster GC7, especially given its premium price point and the reputation behind the Sound Blaster name. Setup was straightforward, and the unit itself feels solid and well-built. The customizable buttons and dials are a nice touch, especially for gamers and streamers looking for quick control over audio settings. However, the audio quality left me a bit disappointed. Sound came through slightly muffled, lacking the crisp clarity I was expecting—especially when compared to other DAC/amps in the same price range. I tested it with both gaming and music, and in both cases, the output just didn’t live up to the hype. It’s not a bad product—it works, and some might find the features appealing—but for the money, I was expecting a lot more in terms of audio performance. If sound quality is your top priority, you may want to explore other options in this price bracket.

Not worth it
Not user friendly... Profile settings change randomly and not clear what profile to use on windows (input-output) 7.1 Dolby isn't always available and also loses its settings. Used an astro mixamp for years and this product doesn't come close. My mixamp is 6 years old and still better than this product.

The GC7 is very versatile with good sound quality.
I use the GC7 as a connectivity device in conjunction with a audio optical switching unit. Xbox series X, PS4 and Apple TV all sound great via this unit, lots of control over sound frequencies. The software app for Apple devices is also excellent with fast a reliable connection.
