Sport Women's Breathe Easy Lovestory Mary Jane Flat

I'm very happy with this purchase! Usually, I buy the Skechers Biker's Mary Janes, but the last ones were falling apart too quickly and the edge of the toe box was cutting into the top of my big toes. These Breathe Easy shoes are comfortable and do not require a long break-in time. I have meaty feet and toes, but not enough to have to buy Wides. The toe box is roomy enough and the length of it covers all my toes where the edge of it does not cut into them. The strap is not adjustable like the velcro Biker's, however, there is a bit of elastic on one side to easily stretch to accommodate the addition of my arch support inserts. These are comfortable, practical summer shoes that I can wear to work as well as with shorts. Only time will tell how long these will last walking on hot concrete on a daily basis.

Shoes with straps over the foot is not my thing. They tend to tighten around my feet and leave marks at the end of the day. So, I stayed away from them for years, and then I saw these. They weren't Velcro straps, which meant if I bought them I wouldn't have to keep readjusting them. I took a chance. If I didn't like the way they fit, I figured I would return them. Nothing to lose. Well, I'm glad I bought them. Very comfortable shoe. Nice looking on my feet. Straps are not too tight, and perfect for work because it's not a tennis shoe. They're definitely a keeper.Would I recommend? Based on my experience with this shoe and Skechers overall, I would have to say yes.P.S. I've been searching for YEARS for a pair of flats that fit but don't leave me with sore feet by the end of the day. I work in a lab and am sometimes on my feet for 12 hours nonstop. I ordered these Skechers and was so disappointed because these were actually comfortable, but the straps made them unbearable to the point that I think they'd cut into the top of my foot (not to mention give me a bizarre tan line, but that's besides the point).Given that I'd been searching for so long for something that actually fit me and had some padding, I decided to hedge my bets and cut the straps off. I've been wearing them 4+ times a week for over three months now and they're still going strong. They aren't the most comfortable shoe in the world for my feet, but they're better than any flats I own and look great, so I don't have to wear t-shirts just to wear sneakers.To cut the straps off, I used a brand new razor blade (the kind you'd use in a scraper tool) to ensure the edges were cut as cleanly as possible, and I made the cut while gently pulling on the strap to prevent excess fibers from being left behind. I meant to seal the cut fibers with clear nail polish but never got around to it. Surprisingly, the edges still look great. You can only really tell there used to be straps there if you look hard - I'm not really one to pay that much attention to shoes, so I don't really care.So, if these shoes fit sans the straps, give this a shot if you're like me and can't find anything better! I'm attaching side-by-side comparisons of the cut and uncut shoe so you can judge for yourself.

I have two pairs of these now. They are my most comfortable dressy shoes. They are not for long walks over rough terrain, but they are comfortable walking almost everywhere else. They are lightweight, sturdy (I have worn my first pair regularly for more than a year) trim looking, feminine enough, and look fine with skirts or slacks. They tolerate rain or drips from a wet bathing suit after water aerobics class. They dry quickly, and if they get splashed with mud or dust, they are easily brushed clean. The elastic straps are comfortable over my instep, the soles grip well and are thick enough to shield you from pebbles at bay and make walking a pleasure.

I love these shoes but unfortunately the size did not work for me. I really need a 10.5 wide, but tried a 10 wide anyway, because 11 is usually too big. The width was perfect for my feet, but they are just too short. I thought about trying an 11 med but it costs twice as much as the 10 wide. Boo. I guess I'll have to find something at a local store so I can try before I buy. I need a pair like this for walking on a trip to Europe - something stylish but comfortable enough for a full day on my feet. If you can get the length right, these would be perfect for that. Five stars because the fit issues are my own problem.

I wear a size 7 and own three pairs of Skechers that are each size 7. I ordered these shoes in a size 7 and they were too small. I returned them and ordered a size 7.5 and they fit. These shoes are adorable and comfy. I actually love them.UPDATE:I am a Skechers shoe fan. I like the comfort and look of Skechers. These shoes felt comfortable when I tried them on. I wore them for three days in a row with lightly padded cotton socks and had no issues. Then I wore them for an entire day without socks while shopping. Not only did I get blisters on the top of my heels but also felt a lack of sole support. The shoes dug into my heels without socks and felt like flip-flops. I will be buying insoles to insert in these shoes. Or only wear them with socks. I changed my review from 4 to 3 stars.

Sketcher, Please, please bring these back. They are perfect all-around summer shoe for wide feet. They are dressy enough to wear with a casual summer dress, but practical enough for activewear or jeans. They are well padded and flexible (which makes them great for wide feet, if not ideal for narrow tootsies). Wide feet tend to come with high, stiff arches. Mine tend to walk right out of pumps and ballet shoes. The classy strap on this shoe keeps them secure on my feet when I need to run. I am hard on shoes, but I've been wearing these for months without a problem and they still look great. The fabric uppers are wonderful; cool, comfortable, and washable. Please, I want more!
