Q: Is the bee square a patch, ie it could be removed or is it painted on shirt directly?

It is sew to the shirt. Should be able to remove it with a thread ripper. All the Bart’s Bees have been excellent since the cotton is so soft. My daughter has loved them for my grandson. Especially the the sleepwear!

Q: Is there a size chart? My son will be 6 months but he's very tall I need to know how long these are.

My son is 6 months old. He is apx 17.5 pounds and 68cm from head to toe. The 1 year old size that I bought based on this growth looks appreciate for a 1 year. You can try buying a 9 months because they can always grow into it if it's too big.
